most of them on here simply don't get it
Some of us have been questioning Bwaiffs lack of contribution for a few seasons now. His lack of spark in attack, his poor options when its on the line etc. The vast majority of Easts fans now agree hes probably the worst 5/8 or marquee player in the comp.
But what you and arsemuncher fail to realise is we cant just dump 400K worth of player to 2nd grade. It just aint gonna happen. If we did, he would be within his rights to play next year for Newtown and eat that chunk of our cap. And wed end this season down an expierenced player which we cant afford.
I reckon Smiffs in Bwaiffs ear. I believe he knows Bwaiffs finished. What they have to find is a way to offload him without costing the club another season, like Masons pay to play for another club. Ive already seen the articles linking Bwaiff to Yawnion and SL. I reckon that talk will continue as the year progresses.
Also I believe a player has to have played a certain number of 1st grade games in the NRL in the previous season to qualify for SL. Maybe the club has a plan??
What you got right is your both wasting your time. You both look silly constantly bagging Bwaiff, without conceeding we are stuck with the bloke for the rest of the year at least.
We looked like a decent team before Pearce got injured. The Carnage at FB expirement worked. I dont see why we cant finish the year playing some decent footy with the combo back in place, and that includes Bwaiff tackling and trying hard from 5/8, shit maybe he will run the ball occasionally.
Its funny youve found a butthead to suck on though. Will you two get hitched soon?? Can I MC the Kock-o-mite nuptials???

reckon, reckon, reckon
the stuff you reckon about having to play a certain number of games to be able to play NSW cup relates only to the finals
keeping a highly paid player in first grade just to avoid hurting his feelings or having him dig his heels in and stay there is akin to throwing good money after bad
the sad part for Braith is that he wouldn't even carve in NSW cup

I wasnt talking about qualifing for reserve grade, I was talking qualifing for SL, next season. As in if he plays reserve grade this year, here, he may not qualify to play SL next year. Afterall we need to keep his options open, so we can assist him getting a contract there for next season, instead of having to pay him next year. Its just explaining why I reckon we may be hesitent to drop him now.
I didnt mention hurting anyones feelings. But if we dont give the bloke the opportunity to resent the club hes more likely to move on without hard feelings. Hence that will be the best result for the club, not having to pay another year for a player either not here or not good enough to be here. Dropping him now would basically ensure we pay him for next year, that IMO will only harm us in the long term. Better to use him up now, then try to help him get a good contract elsewhere b4 next year to save us being in this position again next year.
Now do you know for a fact Bwaiff wouldnt carve up in reserves?? Or do you just reckon too???
Fark me I knew responding to your arsemanlove shit would cause me more typing. I guess im a glutton for punishment. And you Takes On Kocks, you are dumber than I originally gave you credit for.
Fark me you dont comprehend what others are saying, you just sprout shit thats way off topic, or twist what others say to support your irrational ideas. I now see why they all call you Rothwitt, you really post similar to the way that dribbler blogs, its quite funny the similarities, and I for one feel dumber whenever I read his crap or yours.
BTW whose the biarch with you and arsemuncher??? Will you become a Takes On Kock-o-mites or will arsemuncher become a sodo-kock???

Feel better??? I do, its out there baby, and im lovin it.
So how about answering my points this time???
You know actually sticking to what I said originally, keeping it in the correct context??
Maybe even chuck up a few solutions to the problems surrounding our team???
Or is it just easier to bag the players, coaches, officials and fans???
Really mate I like most of your opinions and contributions. It would be nice if you really offered some solutions to the many problems you highlight. Not just sack everyone all the time, maybe give us your best Mackdaddy impersonation, give us a new club and players, cmon maaaaaaaaate, do it for meeeeeeeeeeeee. I still love you.

what SL contract stipulates that a player can't come from NSW Cup??
what are we, some sort of counselling halfway house where we have to not upset the overpriced non performers that we want to punt?
the Carney FB experiment hasn't "worked". All it's shown is that Carney has the class not to look out of place when he's picked out of position. He must play in the line, because in 5 minutes he's showed more than Braith has in 4 years or however long it's been
I agree with Dolphin - it's like Braith has some sort of mortgage on the first grade 5/8 spot because he's captain
having some sort of grand plan to play him there for the season so it'll make it easier to get rid of him next year is absurd. He stifles everything we do in attack
he's not the best option for the key position that is 5/8, and shouldn't be playing there

Stase really likes to attack the man lol
In Stase world we persist with Anasta at 5/8th solely to "give him options" with future contract possibilities.
We relegate better on field combinations so Bwaiff won't "resent" us.
We postpone future captaincy possibilities so Bwaiiff is happy.
We put at risk sponsorship interest because maintaing a losing side is prudent in Bwaiffs case.
We witness dismal home attendance and supporter apathy because having a Marquee player bogging down our attack is better than him being in reserve grade.
In Stase world we dismiss the right to be highly critical of past recruitment, especially when that recruitment hampers the present.
We dismiss the right to fulminate over a wooden spoon side that appears unaware radical change is needed.
We are blinded to the fact that once a club begins to rot it takes years and years to recover.
In Stase world it is better to talk about homo sex on a RL forum than to talk about RL

the solution with Braith is simple
Give him a chance at lock, and get Carney to 5/8 NOW. If Braith can't make a go of lock, get him over to Henson. The guy absolutly ruins any attack we have, and we don't have much
by the way, did you post those copies of the Herald out this morning?

I believe to qualify for SL you have to have played more than 10 games in the NRL the previous season. Im not 100% on this but im sure that was/is the rules they had/have.
1/2 way house, weve been one for stray footballers for years now. I dont see the point in dropping Bwaiff, at least he offers expierence in a shit backline. And we dont have much IMO in the lower grades anyway. I just dont see the club or the coach doing it with the player theyve backed as our captain. They havent dropped Mini, thats an indicator they wont drop Bwaiff.
Carnage worked at FB. His defence was improving, his attack isnt affected, and the team performed much better with him in the 1 jumper. We actually won games and looked dangerous in attack. Bwaiff stayed out of the ball playing stuff, he actually played OK, mainly cos he wasnt required to be involved on every play.
Yep Dolphins right. Thats just the way it goes mate, in all sports basically. The captains afforded many such advantages. Its not gonna happen, dropping Bwaiff. Theres no point calling constantly for something thats not gonna change, youre just batting off, its a pointless exercise.
Too often in the past we have paid players ahead of their contracts expiry to play elsewhere. I dont want to see another Mason or Payten episode, paying players to play elsewhere. Thats just dumb business IMO. Surely the better option is to help a player get a better deal elsewhere, better for Easts next year of course??? We aint gonna go too much further this season, Id hate to see us discussing Bwaiff again next season personally. I believe if we drop him now it will only adversely affect the squad for next year. Im thinking of Easts, not Bwaiff.
