But it was a terrible one, that scoreline is gut wrenching and it seems the honeymoon days of our dominance over Souths is gone, they have a good team right now.
But so do we, I thought earlier in the first half when we held onto the ball we looked alright, but some passes didn't come off and it really doesn't help when your defensive line is operating on a revolving door policy.
Things need to be fixed for next week, but I honestly think they will. Round one guys, chin up!

The question may be will Freddie want to waist his time coaching players who obviously think they just have to turn up and have no pride in their performance. For gods sake there were at least 5 S.O.O. players and 3 NZ internations in that team. Freddie will see out his contract but must be thinking why do I bother, it's not like he needs the money or grief.
He hasn't decided about 2010 yet, he may have had a little help deciding today.

A little premature discussing sacking fittler, but some questions do need to be asked..
How could the team turn up so ill-prepared..???
Where will the creativity come from amongst this team...???
Surely some catching practice is an important part of training this week..
What is our game-plan...???
Is Freddy interested...??

Here's a few more ...
What did these gimps practice in the off-season?
Why bother picking Martin Kennedy and barely playing him?
Since when did grabbing and not locking up the ball become Rooster habit?"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

All the bad things that went on against Souffs have been bubbling along since early last season. Though back then it reared up every so often, then as the season went on it reared up more often, and what started out as a small leak of bad habits is now a torrent. If you put in this Rd1 performance along with the trial form and put it all back to back with the post origin part of 2008, then you do have to ask questions about the coaching staff.
What have they been doing to address the poor defensive techniques, the the poor reads in defence, the poor handling, the lack of attacking options, the poor attitude etc etc etc
After a good first half of 2008, we have gone drastically downhill since.
There is no-one more knowledgeable than Freddy, but you would have to question his ability to get the message across to his players.

maybe its just media talk but you sorta wonder what the relationship between captain and coach is like when week in week out there seems to be talk of a rift between the two or they seem to quote Freddy really laying into the boys and Braith....
Roosters captain Braith Anasta has strongly defended his side's commitment to the cause in the wake of Friday's second-half capitulation against the Tigers.
Having held a slender lead midway through the second stanza, the Roosters fell apart conceding three late tries to slump to their second loss of the season.
After the match coach Brad Fittler questioned his side's mental attitude, labelling a string of basic handling errors 'a sign of weakness'.
Anasta, however, angrily rejected claims Fittler criticised the team's attitude when asked to respond to his coach's post-match comments on Monday.
"I don't think he questioned the attitude at all - I was in the press conference - I think he was just disappointed with the errors," an agitated Anasta fired.
