Can't agree with you there on that one Mike.. If you watch it again, it was Carneys fault all the way. Skd & 2 others had made a ring around Gardner & then Carney rushed forward & crerated a hole in the defence.. For me mate that was all Carney's fault..
Oh no doubt, Carney was the chief instigator there. But at the end of the day, their fullback was flatfooted deep in the ingoal, we should be flying in to crunch him. Even if Carney missed it should have been covered up. The fullback would not have beat 3 players if they actually went in to tackle him.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Carney slip ?

This was the problem all game (all season?) that we hang off in defence waiting for the attacker top make the decision. To my mind we are not getting in and driving in defence and that killed us last night.
If SKD had more than half a brain he would be dangerous.
Actually i thought he was one of our best last night and the only outside back who looked dangerous. Pearce dropped his pass so why blame him for that one.
BTW, voting on the wall has SKD at 67.50% for M.O.T.M..
Amazing how ppls view the same player differently.
Muzz in answer to your question... it is really confusing me now. i think some people are confusing themselves over what they want from SKD.
A simple answer is 'consistency'...
and bf, that answer can be spread over 90% of the team.
The roosters, as a team, lack consistancy

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

Yeah he did slip after he rushed up & then tried to plant his feet.. We had the cordon, just needed the patience to go at him as 1..
Yes I will agree... but SKD seems to cop it more i think because we all know how damaging he can be..
And this is why we should persist !
look at manu vatuvai, at one point he had the WORST hands and WORST field positioning in the competition and at one point was even being lambasted by media outlets for his form.
Now he is considered by judges and comentators of our great game as one of the best and most damaging wingers in the NRL. this has taken 3 - 4 years.

Manu's problems were for the first 1-2 years. Even then, his attacking prowess was twice as good as SKD.
You have to recall that vatuvai played his first game in the NRL in 2004, he is now coming up to his 6th season this year
SKD first played in 2007, in 2008 he was second in the NRL leading try scorers before he was injured in the last few rounds.
Something to think about.

Comparing Manu to Ken-Dumb is like comparing Rosie O'Donnell to Megan Fox. Both like the smoo, but the difference in talent is just so very different.
See this is where it has gone way over your head.
the comparison is in the time it has taken for the talent to shine though and become consistant.
vatuvai came into his own in the back end of 2008/2009 season, nearly 4 years after he started.
SKD has been in first grade for 3 years and in his second year was one of the top try scorers in the NRL.
it's funny that last week, names like yours were no where to be found.
