I was really hoping Luke Towers would get a shot this weekend. Mini has looked terrible at fullback.

Graham hasn't looked good on the wing either.

Wondering if they have named both Koups and Jaubs on the bench in the even that Friend is stood down?

It is an interesting situation with jaubs. For the past 2 matches, he has been having a training session after the match, either on his own or with one of the lower graders. (he trained with kane linnett last week) . Don't know how much can be read into it, but i find it interesting that this is occuring.

notwithstanding how good he was 4+ years ago, I can't think of any fullback I've seen who has worse hands than Mini

I'm hoping it was because it was a soggy field - but my impression of Leilua on Sat night is that I could beat him in a footrace, which is not a good thing.

He seemed very sluggish and slow to react.

Oh for a centre with a bit of speed and who could actually take the ball upfield.

SKD is Heggarty all over again with those bloody sideways runs.

Oh well, onwards and upwards for this week. I'm hoping it can't get any worse than last week.

If we have any sort of chance to win against Storm, it's gonna be Monday night.
All there starts are missing, Yes mitchell pearce is out for us but i believe we do have the players to put a winning side together come monday night.
I know it will be an improvment from the sharks game. (WELL IT HAS TO BE)

not implying anything, just found it very odd that smith would have this happen and also very interesting.

it could be read many way:
Jaubs is competitive and wants to be succesful, so is happy to do whatever it takes to make it, which sends a great message to the team...
                      OR:
he's too small, not quick enough, can't pass, blah, blah, blah, and so is on the outer
                      OR
smith wants to keep him, is still testing others, to verify that they are poo or not, and so wants to keep him fit
                      OR
Smith wants to keep Maubs head solid, so hasn't punted Jaubs yet
                      OR
                      his knee still isn't right
                      OR
Smith thinks Jake may truckup again, and so wants to keep him fit
                      OR
                      .....
                      OR
                      .....
                      OR

Just heard Kane Linnett will make his debut tonight barring any injuries, not sure of the rest of the side changes though.

Do you know who he is in for? Is this due to form or injury?

Koups didn't play for Newtown on Saturday, if Linnett is to debut tonight it is likely to be for Perrett whose wife gave birth to a premature baby last weekend and he is likely to stay in Sydney to be with his family.
