Believe it or not,
Ive seen many a coach.
The hard arses, the "best mate", the tactitian, the motivator.
All of them have their strengths and their weaknesses.
To me its all about timing.
The best administrators need to make the right decisions at any given time for what is needed.
We sign a man who has never won a comp in 21 years of trying.
We sign him on the basis of a Phil Gould recommendation who sees him as some replacement for the pariah, Fittler.
I just know in my bones it is the wrong decision.
Not for choice, just for the duration.
I will guarantee that the best year Smith has with our beloved club is 2014.
Just in time to renew his contract.
We might finish second, third or fourth.
Then the merry go round goes round again.
If this happens, I will have lost all respect for Nick Politis.
Word.
And if it does, for the first time in my life I will ask for his head.
Because if you want to sign a man who has never won a comp in 21 years of trying it better be in the first 4 years of his ****ing contract.
