  • Roosters chasing Justin Carney

not sure whether to read much into this story in today's Canberra Times, but they seem to think we are trying to steal another one of their team.

not a big fan of this possible move, it was a horrible injury he sustained last year and he has struggled to get back on the field this year and really stacked on the weight while out injured, there are better options out there.

Eh.. i don't like him as a player that much, has showed some potential.. but being a small bloke, he doesn't fit my ideal centre

He is a winger, and though not a very tall one he is as strong as an ox.

Has to be the contender for biggest tree trunk legs in the NRL.

He was actually going great guns for Canberra until he got injured.

Who can he replace there now?

is also a centre, according to wikipedia and his profile page on the raider's website

even so, we don't need wingers imo..

No thanks either and just quietly I'm sick to the back teeth of the Roosters being linked with just about every single off contract player from other clubs.

Didn't Jack Gibson try to lure Daley around 1990/91?

No, it was about 92 if i recall?...I was about 6 or 7?

Maybe it was just a rumour in the Greedy household

                        You are right though...
There was talk that Stuart contacted Gould about joining the Roosters because he thought that we were alligned with the "break-away movement" that was Super League.

The Roosters offered Clyde $800,000 a year to join the club.

James Packer was heavily involved with the club at the time and I believe the board had decided to challenge the salary cap.

Kevin Neil always insisted it was the Roosters fault Canberra betrayed the ARL as they would have no way of competing with us financially.

THey had no financial trouble in the early 90's when they were massively rorting the cap

                              I'd rather Vidot.
