You saw today that with Carney at 2nd receiver he has the speed and ability to keep the outside defense in two minds and get between them or pass it around them. We need speedsters out wide that can turn that into points. Our lack of speed cost us a few tries today.

Graham made a couple of critical defensive errors today. He has more speed than Perrett and SKD so I wouldn't put him down just yet.

It doesn't mean Perrett and SKD can't slot elsewhere. IMO, Perrett is awesome at fullback if kept there for more than one week at a time. I would have him there if we don't get Dugan. But if we do get Dugan and some speedsters out wide, where do you put Perrett?

SKD a tough one, I am still waiting for him to "develop". With such a big frame on him like Symonds, I believe both will eventually gain size and strength to become second-rowers. I actually believe SKDs physique is much more suited to rugby union.

Great idea. Someone call the owner of Toulon. We have a replacement for $BW.

If SKD was more consistent, he would be a rep player for NZ. But his inconsistencies are ruining his game. He is on fire one week, and then is cold for about another 4 weeks before carving up another team the week after that. If he can sort his game out and see what works for him, he will be a very handy player.

Personally, i think that SKD has been consistantly good for the past 4 weeks.

On attack he was turning the NZ left hand defence around and also is striking up a great combo with maubs.

The tide is turning for SKD, we will see alot more good from him.

Speed isn't everything. Graham is quickish, but he runs very softly. SKD and Perrett both look much more dangerous in attack.

I don't see why SKD's physique doesn't suit the centres. He's big, lanky and strong. I agree on Symonds though, I see him being a backrower.

              Why all the SKD negativity?
I actually thought he was one of our best today!
As Mario said, he has been solid for the last month aswell!

The wet weather was the only reason NZ were close enough in the end. A no try, two tries inches from the touchline and an arsey try in the end. It was just one of those days we seem to have too regularly where the bounce of the ball was against us. Our forwards aimed up, our attack looked sharp in those conditions. Good days ahead.

But one thing today showed is that our main recruitment for next year should be a strike centre and a big fast wing or two.

I have often wondered whether you actually pay attention to detail, or just like to shoot from the hip. I now know the answer.

                      Both have 3 initials!

Seriously, apart from a pass dropped (it was wet) and being put over the sideline once ( he was racing downfield) - he actually went well. Even headed AWAY from the sideline on one occasion!

I wonder why some people even follow the team? Do they give you any joy at all? That loss was gut wrenching. Not because we played like shit, not because we had no hope like last year, but because we lost it in the dying moments. Graham had a crap game and should have knocked the ball over the dead ball line.

Pierce and Carney had great games and showed awesome potential for the future. Little kicks trying different things that did not always come off was great to watch.

Glass half empty that it is getting like a ****ing whinge fest week after week in here....

The answer was a reply to above quote by Buddy, I believe you need to read posts properly before shooting from the hip!

Those little kicks cost us the game. We needed field position in conditions like yesterday with a 10 point lead, yet we played like we were 10 points behind.

We also played with something that bordered on confidence. I loved watching it. Taking risks that nearly came off, trying different options with the kicking game. Play like this should bode us well in the future but I predict that unless we win the premiership that week after week we will get the same bitching and moaning in this forum.
