I am glad.. If he just blamed the refereeing then I would think that he is missing the real issues why we lost. Our poor kicking game which did not give us the field position we needed in the second half, our sliding defence and lack of respect for the ball.

spot on PG, you could see on the coverage that the roosters were running into a headwind and the driving rain.

the conditions in the 2nd half deteriorated significantly, most probably the reason why you saw a change in the game play by the roosters.

to my understanding, PG's comment was in relation to our field positioning kicks not able to getting the distance we needed.

It looked like chipping rather than bombs was their game plan. It nearly paid off a couple of times but probably a better option in dry weather. Not sure why you wouldn't bomb Vatuvei more in those conditions. The second half was far worse than the first half and plenty of Pearce's kicks pulled up short.

It is our game plan. The Warriors tried to suffocate us with a rushing compressed defense as do most teams. With Carney at 5/8th we finally have an x-factor to break the cycle with chips behind the line and stretching them out wide.
