  • Sack Mini, Sack Graham, how about sack Perrett?

Just had a look at this bloke. If Perrett doesnt have the worst try scoring avg per game in the NRL then I'd like to see who does.

30 try's, 106 first grade games. Absolutely woeful. YES, he's probably our safest back and YES, he does do the hard yards out of our own half, though really if Graham/Minichiello are worth the sack, then this bloke should be looked at too simply because of his lack of ability to cross the line.

Christ, even Luke Covell has a better try scoring average than this bloke and he's one of the most inept wingers in the game.

We can't win. We either have a try scoring centre who can bust the line, score try's but give us stupid mistakes and craptastic defensive reads. Or a tweener (meaning? no idea what his position is) who is an excellent yardage player and quite safe at the back yet fails to cross the line.

    Our backline is farked.

We should be targeting some speedy backs who can find the line.
Either that or we should promote some of the younger wingers in NYC or Nwetown.

I'd be happy if Perrett, Graham and Mini moved on at the end of the year.

                Fill in the gaps:

                1 Towers?
                2 ?
3 SKD (I don't mind him lol...only player in our current backline with any spark at all)
                4 Linnett
                5 ?

I'd rather see a backline of young blokes on the cheap than paying decent money for Mini, Perrett and Graham

Michael Gordon would be an excellent addition on the wing, solid goal kicker, scores tries

I love Mini however his best days are behind him big time, Graham started the season well but his form has dropped badly, Sam was one of our best last year in a badly beaten team, for that reason alone I like him but agree he does not get over the stripe anywhere near enough

I was hoping that Naughton would make more of an impact this year, but he has spent most of the year injured on the sidelines. Many of his ex-team mates at the Raiders are killing it in the top grade. Naughton was rated the equal or better than a lot of these guys when in NYC.

Cheyse Blair is another that seems destined to play in firsts given time.

Throw these two in that line up and SKD will be our senior backline player, or dare I say our Backline Captain. :

Although The Chookpen fans are fickle and inconsistent, they are no more so than our outside backs. Some weeks I watch Perret, Graham and SKD and they look brilliant, but other weeks they look ****ing awful!

Obviously talent isn't inconsistent, so you have to question their mental preparation. SKD gets plenty of focus for being rocks or diamonds, but Graham and Perret are much the same. It seems that as soon as they make a couple of mistakes, they lose confidence and go to pieces.

From NRL.com stats our 3 biggest metre gainers against the warriors were:

                        1. Perrett
                        2. Myles
                        3. Graham

Maubs made 56! metres playing the full 80, yes he made 40 tackles but Ryles and Nuuausala had over 30 tackles for respectable metreage and Myles topped the count and was also one of the biggest metre eaters.

what a nothing stat "metres" is

comparing wingers returning kicks with forwards making hit ups

                            absurd
