For someone who loved that stat put in the newspaper on the weekend I can't wait to hear your comeback for this one....
I've never come in here stating that he's a miracle worker. He's a rocks/diamonds type of player too. However, he has not been in the game as long as the dumb one. He's what? 20? I bet your bottom dollar, that he'll be twice the player SK-Dumb is in two years time.

hang on he is not shit in fact i think he is a really good player and maybe even a future origin rep. The fact he is playing in a shit team with so much other crap ie coach leaving going on has him unsettled as you would imagine but when he burst into firsts he was awesome. The only and i mean only reason why we shouldnt pursue him is because his game is too similar to that of SKD. Therefore in order to have a well balanced backline, 2 players with very similar games doesnt cut it. Especially because both arent lightening quick although ferguson is quicker than SKD and both can win the odd footrace and both pride themselves on their ability to bust tackles - both powerful and strong centre/wingers. We dont need 2 of those and i think with carney already coming our backline looks good for next year already. His asking price is also considerable because he is on a fair wack at cronulla being the only decent player in the team
1. Perrett
2. Carney
3. SKD
4. Linnett
5. Graham
6. Carney
7. Pearce

I wouldn't mind Blake Ferguson in our side, but my concern would be that if we purchase him, will he get in the way of some of our young guys coming through, notably Blair, Kheirallah, Moeakiola. Maybe if we offloaded one of our current players in the backline (most likely this will be Minichiello's last year), then I'd like to see him at our club, but like I already mentioned, not if he will stand in the way of our younger guys progressing through the ranks.Last edited by footy; 07-08-2010, 01:51 PM.

I'm hoping by next year we can field:
1. Josh Dugan
2. Sam Perrett
3. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
4. Kane Linnett
5. Cheyse Blair
Kheirallah is fast but needs to put on some weight, Justin Carney, Steve Naughton and Fine Moeakiola both have injury histories, Hughie Stanley has been pretty rubbish, and Towers and Tuigamala seem to be on the outer. Graham is sticking around for another year, too.
Don't see how Ferguson fits into the equation.
