Reported in the papers that he will sign with the Chooks within days. News press, so should be right on the money.

If he comes, I wouldn't be surprised to see:

          1. Perrett
          2. Carney
          3. Kenny-Dowall
          4. Linnett
          5. Ferguson

...in 2011. Perrett is an accomplished fullback, Dugan isn't coming, Carney provides what Perrett did on the wing except probably a little more pace, Ferguson provides height and strong finishing out wide too.

Mack Perrett is not a fullback - he did ok in patches in Mini's absence but he isn't and never will be a long term replacement.

Blake wants to play centre, NOT winger. This signing doesn't make sense to me.

Most wingers do want to play in the centres. Centres get bigger pay packets than wingers.

don't rule out the club giving Mini one more year, there are some significant salary cap discounts for long serving players to be introduced and as he is virtually the only player that qualify's for the maximum discount at our club, management might take advantage of the salary cap changes and give him a farewell year.

He is the best option we have at fullback.

I think ferguson and linnett would complement each other perfectly down the left edge - both tall and athletic players however linnett is more lean, agile and is quicker than ferguson whereas ferguson is more powerful and destructive. Only problem i have with this backline is that although id have perrett at fullback i dont think he has the all round game to play there permanently and everyone else in the backline is young so who would you replace once the likes of blair, moeakiola, towers, kherrilah are good to go? Thats why i think we should not get ferguson and keep mini or graham so that when they retire we can at least give our own youngsters a shot. then if they happen to be crap we can sign others but atm, some of our young outside backs have shown some amazing potential and id hate for that to go to waste....

I would not be surprised to see Ferguson groomed into a fullback at our club..I reckon he can more than handle it.

He has the size and the pace,he can catch a high ball also..
It wont surprise me at all if that happens, hence why the interest in Dugan died down.

Roz, i would say that Ferguson has Linnet beaten in pace.

Ferguson is a great RAW player as he got 0 development at the Sharks. With proper coaching, the world is at this young blokes feet.
