Ok, it's clear to me you are totally disillusioned.

Have a valium, have a lie down. Make some sense of your purpose.

I thought Pearce went okay. Obviously he wasn't able to exert a whole lot of influence on the game -- but it's not easy to do that when you play most of the game at the wrong end of the field.

You can't dominate Origin when you're still wet behind the ears. Don't forget a player like Andrew Johns not only took many years to dominate at origin level but, in fact, didn't even play halfback until quite a few years after his rep debut.

Hey Verlaine, do you think NSW would have done better in this series with:

              6. Soward
              7. Finch

              ???

I can't be bothered reading all the posts on this topic.

But I will say this. I was disappointed in his game last night, I thought he'd do better. Having said that, I'm a big fan of his ability and have no doubt that with more experience and time that he'll become a top half.

And rusty, what are you on about? Did you say that pearce is not an organising type halfback? Yet you said he should be paired with soward next year? Soward is an even worse organizer than dud braithy boy. Sowards strength is his broken field running, not his organising ability. If you truly think that pearce can't organize, then you can't pair him with soward. I have a very different view to you about pearces ability. Plus i think a pearce carney combo would be better especially once they enhance their own combo at club level when the fat slow Greek is finally moved permanently out of our attack.

                  Yes.
Next year I think it should be a Carney/Wallace combo. Wallace is a great organiser, where Carney has great talent and good footwork. I just don't think Pearce is an origin player. ( no offense )

Did you miss the game on Friday when Wallace couldn't even guide his side to a win despite his forwards absolutely dominating the Tigers?

A beautiful display of great organisation... not.

He's a 5/8 converted into a halfback, his performances in origin were just as bad as Pearce's or did you miss those too?

In the tigers game he had pissing down rain and a really inexperienced team alongside him.
Wallace has actually won an origin game before off the back of his own organisation skills and done great considering he was the only genuine playmaker in the team at the time.

It was raining, now I've heard everything, if he can't play when it's raining then how's he going to go in origin... god forbid if it rains again

Yeh Pearce was poor but he's been a class above Wallace all year, even when it wasn't raining.

IF NSW decide that they're going to sack their most recent halfback of 2 WHOLE GAMES then young Trent Hodkinson will get the shot, after he fails (surprise surprise a rookie fails) they'll just pick the next 'big thing'.

They've picked the best young halfback running around and they need to persist with him as they do with the majority of the team that played last night. They'll learn from this series and the next, strange concept but considering it worked for QLD you never know....

Are you ****ing serious ??? What did he do that was so special? Unless doing a few scraggly kicks or letting through a soft try through feeble defence make him the best player in game 2, I'm deadset clueless. For the record, If you are calling him "the best player in game 2' based on that inside ball for white, I guarantee you nearly every half/5/8 could produce that pass except for a few shit ****s like Dureau, Porter Anasta Etc...
