  • Great display of guts and determination

it has been a long time coming but finally the club is starting to put the pride back in the jumper, there were plenty of times today we could have given the game up, a short turnaround from the Raiders match, mounting injury toll, some questionable decisions against us, but we keep on fighting when we have been prone to lie down without a fight.

must say Mini was outstanding tonight probably his best game since 2004, and Anasta played his best game in a long long time tonight.

    well done boys.

This is a good team fletch! When conditions start to warm back up and the surfaces improve I rate us a big chance to sneak very deep into the finals.

That was an awesome performance. Full of courge and conviction. More passion and desperation in that game than Wednesday night.

      Jake Friend - Machine
Perret - ****ing awesome out of dummy half
      SKD - Dangerous all night
      Anasta - Great captains knock
Ryles - Great leadership from the big guy

....And of course the talented Mr Carney

        Great display by the Chooks

That was an awesome effort by the boys....We look so much better with Carney in his rightful position and Mini surprised the heck out of me with that blast from the past display, you can see him go looking for the ball waiting on an offload as well.
        Suck that you Rabits fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!

            Agreed.
They'll be some sore boys for 3-4 days to come. Glad we play next Sunday. The extra days of rest will help.

Easts had it won, mid 2nd half, then Finch stepped in, leading to Souffs' try; then PRIDE and strong straight running from Maubs got us home.

Congrats to each and every player.

Masoe was a little quiet, but Hargreaves and Kennedy (other than a few errors) had good ones. Loving the youth. Conn was tops as well.

Need Linnett in the centres though, IMO he looked a little lost on the wing. I know Leilua is rated highly, but if a winger goes down, replace him with another winger. Should have given Towers a go.

We said Mack. JWH really stepped up tonight. Instead of putting all his effort into defence, he ran strong all night. Don't know if he will ever get a penalty with the way he carries on though.

Kane Linnett had a blinder tonight. That tackle on, I think it was Merritt in the first half, saved the game. Along with Carney's scramble defense.

I would just love to see JWH run onto the ball more. He normally takes a few slow steps before and after getting the ball!!

i agree. if nuuasala teaches him to steam onto it like he now does and like kennedy, masoe, ryles and myles do he would be impossible to stop

I loved that win, I love nothing more than beating Souths.

Two points out of that game though.
The refs absolutely caned us , shocking refereeing especially in the first half.
The Roosters are only going to get alot better. At times they looked foolish in attack, but I am sure Smith will get that fixed when it counts
