  • JWH, Linnet and other nuffies

Thought he had his best game for us last night. We needed another forward to stand up and he did it in style.Ran straight and hard and was our top eater in the forwards(except Maubs), in only 40 min.

As for Linnet, i can't go past the fantastic effort to turn and chase Merrit who got a dream bounce and execute a copy-book tackle. It's great to have a bloke on the flanks with that kind of speed and hunger.

Kennedy got smashed a few times but continued to run with conviction. Great attitude.

Conn, another great input into the game.

Friend, probably the best effort of all. The amount of times he threw his body at blokes twice his size was inspiring. Even when he got shruugged off by bigger men in Burghess and Taylor, he'd get back like a terrier and finish the tackle. Crisp service as well. 52 tackles on my count. Fantastic work, kid. On a night like this, that earns you a MOM in my eyes.

Jake filled the void in defence,we missed with Myles out.Outstanding effort,However Maubs was my MOM,like some have said already,Maubs is becomming like Menzies. He & FPN have excelled under Smith. The team as a whole has improved ,the beast feature of Smiths coaching is the team is not relying on one player, last week Pearce was out & we won, this week Myles was out & we won.He has brought up more youngsters in a year than Stuart & Freddy put together.

      Great posts both of you.
Linnett's try saver on merritt - great work, really really great work
Jake's tackling and d/h work - awesome but I'd like to see him run it occassionally
JWH - better, but I don't think we've seen the best of him yet
FPN and Masoe - solid performances let down by poor defence for falloon's try
Leilua - the baby-faced one who is still so young will be a monster as he matures

This week, the Roosters put a massive smile on my face that will last for a good long while. Thank you Roosters and very well done.

Spot on ghost. The attitude and skills of our players is getting better and harder as the year goes one, and that's all thanks to Smith.

Fark I'm stoked we beat Souffs.

Bring on Ennis and his fellow cats next week.

          Chook.

That turn & chase from Linnett on Merrit was the stuff of legends.. Souths fans must have thought he was home & hosed.... Then for Carney to come across & cover..

That tackle and Braith's sweeper on Wesser were my favourite tackles of the night.

It was a stellar game by Jake, he just keeps getting better and better.

On the big screen he looked like he had done 1000 tackles by the time the Roosters scored their first try

I think Martin Kennedy deserves a mention as well. Apart from the one mistake, he played very good considering its his third first grade game of the year.
