What is impressive, is how so many young talents have stood up.

Assume that our starting pack at full strength is Ryles, Friend, Myles, Nuuausala, Morbs, Anasta, with a bench of Koops, Symonds, Hargreaves and Masoe.

That leaves a Jets pack that could potentially include Martin Kennedy, James Aubusson, Lopini Paea, Aiden Guerra, Daniel Conn, Jason Baitieri, with a bench of Daniel Fepuleai, Brad Takairangi, along with some other Jets blokes.

Kennedy, Jorbs, Paea, Guerra, Conn were all, at some point of the season, fixtures in our forward pack, thus showing how strong our current depth is. And not only that, but Baitieri, Fepuleai and Takairangi all have brief stints in first grade too, as has Joseph Leilua who is a serious talent.

I would like to have seen Arona give a run in first grade too - from what I have heard, he is putting in massive performances regularly for the Jets too, and was on the fringes.

Tom Symonds played 5/8 in the 20's, so I'm presuming he can pass, he can tackle and can't possibly be any slower than Koups, plus he's a Ranga.

Remember Koups pass out of dummy half on 1/2 time on Fri night. It was a Code classic, along the ground.

I'd agree on a starting pack of Ryles, Friend, Myles, Nuuasala, Maubs and Anasta, but I'd say the bench would be Kennedy, Waerea-Hargreaves, Masoe and Kouparitsas. Symonds would miss out in favour of Kennedy, allowing for a bigger pack, and giving JWH a shot at the back row.
The Newtown pack would then be Paea, Jaubs, Conn, Symonds, Guerra and Baiteri.

thats been my favourite koops play so far.........actually i dont think it went along the ground...it was more like he passed it straight at the ground

The only thing i would change about those forwards is replacing Kouparitsas with Symonds, because as Chookies74 said Symonds played 5/8 in the 20's so you would think that he would have a better passing game, better kicking game, more speed, more creativity and more vision than Kouparitsas, also he can play the exact same roles that Kouparitsas plays other than hooker (backrow, lock) and be better at them than Kouparitsas is.

As much as I want a win, if that becomes unlikely I just want Myles to smash the grub that is Ennis.

Symonds actually played quite a bit of 5/8 in the 20's before he cracked first grade, but he is more suited as a second rower.

And after being out injured and having a knee operation, it will take him at least a couple of months to get back to where he was form-wise before he got injured.

There's always something special about these Easts-Canterbury games. In fact, the first game of league that I ever remember clearly is the Easts-Canterbury semi final in 1976, when they knocked us out. I was eight and have had a special distaste for them ever since.

If we reproduce our form of the last month, we will win this one.

I PRAY that Mick Little Dick Ennis cops an absolute BELTING by Myles

I will pay good coin to see this happen.

It's still a strong team. Does anyone know if Leilua is injured from last week, or has he been dropped?

It should be a good game. We have strung some good wins together, and the Dogs seem to be on their way back. 2 teams in good form, should make for an entertaining match

So far in this season the two have had 3 fights.

1st fight -- Bulldogs vs Roosters
                                2nd fight -- Origin 1
                                3rd fight -- Origin 3

Origin 3 being the only one where punches were thrown... cowardly punches might I add. At least Myles has the forhead to soften the blow.
