People said the same about Fitzy in 2006-7, then when we took the captaincy off him in 2008, everybody was blowing up deluxe. Some guys are born to be leaders, others take time to adjust. Fitzy eventually found his feet as a skipper and I think Ricko would have too if he was given more than one season in the job.

I can't argue with that logic..

I agree. But the team and coach at the time weren't exactly setting the world on fire. Its much easier to captain a successful team then a struggling team. Also Ricko was at the back end of his career, Maubs will be just hitting his peak.

I agree. Hadn't given it any consideration before but thinking about it I like that idea too. I like the depth we have in options. Even without the official captain title having that many leadership style players is always great to lead around the young blokes.

Only reason was I was sure Mozz shouldve been given the job.

IMO what Mozz has done since returning to SL and captaining his club so well justifies my claims then.

That said I couldnt understand Fitzy being flicked in 08 for Bwaiff. I thought Fitzy had made the job his own and history shows we struggled from the moment that decision was made.

Freddo sure made some strangewadd choices in his time as coach. Or maybe he was just following orders???
