It obviously assumes we can afford him and fit him in.

Fair enough. We have about $400K already.

If we dump Paea also then we have plenty.

We get Mason's money back for next year. Anasta is leaving after next year. There are a few more we have lost or are losing at the end of this year. Third party payments go up next year. The cap goes up a bit next year. If Melbourne are forced to release him, they will have to cover any excess that we don't pay. Can we afford him, Yes we can.

That's true mate but lets assume Minichiello does go OS & we do not re-sign J. Aubusson and Paea/Kouparitsis............perhaps there would be enough to get him.

It would be lovely wouldn't it?

Yeh and he is 4 years younger.

If we could get one of the Storm boys it would be Inglis.

We may be releasing a few players at seasons end, but don't forget we've already signed Justin Carney and Anthony Watts. I would love to have Slater in our team, but in all honesty, its not worth losing 3 or 4 promising kids to sign him for a few years.

This is a tough one for me.

If he helps us win a premiership then he is definitely worth throwing top dollar at and sacraficing a few young players. Admittedly it is still a bit early but to me we are really looking the goods and to add a player like billy slater to our roster would really give us an edge and could be the difference between finishing 1st and 2nd or 3rd. In these days of salary caps and teams being ripped apart, when you are good you only really have a 2-3 year window to win a GF so if your good enough you should do all that you can.

On the other hand if we are not ready then a slater purchase will set us back with the grooming of our youngsters.

I don't think we need to go for the BIG signing.
We're building nicely towards something with a team largely built from young blokes, long term recruitments from 05-06, and Todd Carney.

this rumour is just pure fantasy there is no way Slater will be leaving the Storm, if they shed 1 of the big 4 it will be Inglis, sure it is great to dream but it ain't going to happen.

with the signings of Carney,Watts and Tasi we don't have any spots left in our top 25 unless we start releasing players already under contract for next year.

Hell No! He is a grub with no respect for people with depression........... schizophrenia, hemorrhoids, lazy eye, kleptomania, nymphomania or ****ing tourettes syndrome!! And i should know because i have at least 3 of those afflictions!!

I have not witnessed one single tackle involving that goose where he has not elbowed his opponent, kneed his opponent, walked off the mark or generally carried on like a good sort, not one !!!

The arseclown (thanks stsae) can play alright but i couldnt stand having to watch his wankery every week in the RW&B.

Just man up William and play the ****ing ball you greasy maggot !!!!

If he can do that for the rest of the year without incident im prepared to support a call from Uncle Nick.
