  • Some stats for Mr Finch

Out of 17 rounds of Football(2 byes):

We have won 2/17 penalty counts.

    We have conceded 101 penalties.

    Received 75.

Three times we have received 2 or less penalties in a game. 2 of those times we have beat the other team. All 3 of those teams lie outside the 8. Hardly the pinnacles of discipline

Out of our 10 wins we have won the penalty count once, despite laying on some convincing victories.

Last year was more attrocious but could be attributed to our ladder position.

This year we are in the top 4.

We play an attractive style of football which is fact paced meaning we should be getting more penalties in the ruck. Nada.

These stats are damning if you take into account the absolute horror calls made by the VR against our team this season. The BOD rule is used to justify absolute shockers against us, while we can't seem to get one our way.

Thanks for trying to **** up our club and the game with your incompetence/bias Mr.Finch. One would wonder where our club would be this year if we at least had an even number of penalties go our way.

    Added.

On average we are conceding 2 less penalties a game.

With the amount of tries scored of penalties in this game, that is shocking.

The power of the referee has ruined Union and it's going the same way in our great game......the treatment of Braith by Badger yesterday was a ****ing disgrace, it was if any time Braith asked him what the penalty/forward pass/bullshit call was for Badger would get even angrier and pull up even more bullshit just out of spite to show who was boss and had all the power on the field.

People go to watch the FOOTBALL AND PLAYERS, not the ****ING REFEREES PERFORMANCE FINCH YOU ****WIT.

Listening to freddy on the foot show yesterday, he noted that in the 60 games with the roosters that he coached we only won 5 penalty counts !!

Yesterdays game Badger gave us 1 penaly for the holding down of Mini, the other penalty was from the other joker !

These are damning statistics, particularly this year's figures.
Yesterday, the penalty count was 2 - 7.
It seems opposition sides approach perfection when they play the Roosters.

Look, I'm a bit of a cynic, so these stats lead me to draw some distasteful conclusions. I would be interested to know the stats for st merge as it seems the NRL really wants them to win a premiership as it would be "good for business."

May I also add to this discussion the abnormal stopping of the clock for the drop out in the last minute of yesterday's game - what's with that?

Do you really think we would get a fair go after the way we treated Finch's son...??

Yesterday we beat the Bulldogs and Badger..We will need to continue doing this IMO...

Fair go is one thing, absolute lunacy is another.

You'd think that IF they had an agenda they could cover it up a bit better.

Imagine where we'd be if his useless son still wore the Tricolours? Bottom 2.

I think the referee can stop the clock anytime if he believes a side is time wasting. In case of Badger yesterday he stopped it after 10 seconds ! Officially I think you have 40 seconds to take the drop out or penalty can be give. Roosters and Braith were well within that !

                      just confirmed:

Under NRL rules, a player has 40 seconds in which to complete a line drop-out and the player taking the kick is given a 10-second warning.

Cam Smith got penalised in the tians game which cost them a victory.....So Badger was dead wrong yesterday !!

Anasta took close to the 40 seconds allowed, off the clock anyway....Even if it was in 2 parts..

Anasta knew what he was doing...

Badger stopped it because he said we were deliberately time wasting, that was about a whole 3 seconds after the ball had gone out, it was utter bullshit.

except Badger incorrectly stopped the clock ,presumably to assist the dogs. It was only that Braith pushed the point, Badger restarted the clock and then braith used up then some more of his allowable time.
