  • Phil Graham

The last two weeks have been our best two wins for half a decade. Phil Graham has been missing for both of them. He must be due to come back shortly. It will be interesting to see if he will be slotted back into the team. My guess is that he probably will - with BJ going to the bench and probably Marty Kennedy dropping off.

All of a sudden we have some depth.

Linnet to go to Newtown, Graham on the wing and BJ to centre.
You may see some rotating happenning with the younger players in the side, Smithy would not want to burn them out this early on in their careers.

    Booster.

I'd say Graham will be in as long as he is fit with Linnett and BJ moving up and down as Smith sees appropriate to bring them along.

      Good spot to be in.

If Graham comes back as long as they don't put him on the wing.
He hasn't a good game on the wing all year.

I think Linnett will be rested this week from First grade. Same as Mose last week. I have heard that they view Linnett more as a winger than a centre. Smith is rotating players to keep them fresh.

That can't be right because they have been playing Linnett at centre with Graham on the wing when Graham is clearly more comfortable at centre. If they thought he was a winger surely they would have them both in their preferred spots.

Just something I heard from someone at the club but hey who knows ( the guy who does the stats each week).

I wouldnt be suprised if that were the case and id be happy to see linnett as a permanent winger - has great speed and is a top draw finisher and defensively he could get caught out in the centres and with BJ and Blair coming through maybe that is his best shot - definitely the right built and attributes. His only downfalls in that position so far is that his kick returns dont quite make the sort of ground one would hope for and id imagine positionally he may struggle a bit at least initially although i havent really noticed him being caught out of position too badly yet at least. He is a phil graham clone imo - centre/winger, great finisher and great speed, slight athletic build

I was filfthy at Linnett for his bad miss on ennis that led to the 'Dogs first try. His kick returns were also slow. I can see why Smith hooked him though in doing so he probably cost me victory in my DT Fantasy match.

I doubt very much that Leilua and Linnett will play beside each other on the one flank for the rest of the year.

Smith should be keen to put Graham in there to add some experience to that edge.

his kick returns were really soft and in one case cost us a goal line drop by surrendering easily in a tackle, no doubt the kid has potential just needs to learn to show some hunger/desire when running with the ball.

You can't be serious surely? A top drawer finisher would have scored on the weekend, no way would they have hesitated and then got bundled into touch. Folau, Inglis, Jennings, Morris and the like would have had eyes for the corner only and would have went for it and got their body position much lower. He showed he was anything but a top drawer finisher in that one little play.

Yeh Graham will come back in.

I'm a little worried about our defence especially now we have Carney in the front line with Anasta at lock. They were defending next to each other on Sunday, I would stick Carney next to Aubbo to give him a hand.

Linnet is a centre. Through and through.

His build is nothing like Graham. He is a tall rangy kid and is only slight due to his age. Wait until he gets a few pre-seasons under his belt and adds some weight. He will be great.

I have a feeling that his lack of physicality is due to his frame as it is. With a bulkier frame he should become more physical.

According to the team announcement Linnett is in at centre Graham onto wing.
