Yeah I've got a pretty sore head today.

I was sitting on the table next to Freddy and was shocked that he was put out in the nose bleed section. It looked like they'd put him as far away from the action as possible.

So it was good when his name was announced.

Great night. John Peard was awesome.

JT, how many items did you win?!?!

You would have looked like a thief coming out of a picture gallery!

I was told they did that for more dramatic effect when announced, you know the walk through the crowd type thing.

JT needed an armoured truck to get his stuff home and probably a bodyguard whne he got home lol

Was a good night, maybe expected more 2002 season players there.

            Was surprised to see Sticky.

All the current squad were pretty gracious, considering they had people coming up to them with footy balls to sign (including myself!) while they were eating dinner.

It was a shame Big Artie wasn't there though.

I know what you mean....I was soooo in awe when Dan Hunt signed my scrap book that was dedicated to him.

I think he was in awe too, having my scrap book made in his honour.

I love Peardy. I always remember him saying in his book that his parents were in the "iron and steal" business - "she'd iron and he'd steal".

In a freedom loving society i would probably salute the great man in a manner that respects our names.

THE DINNER.aS kEVIN cOSTNERS FATHER SAID TO HIM IN fEILD OF dREAMS...''Is this heaven,am I in heaven.Thats how I felt last night looking around at my heroes John Peard....'After a long drive out to Ivanhoe, and after they didnt have much left to talk about,Peardy says to Artie,if you only had 30 mins to live what would you do?
Artie said Id **** the first thing that moved.
Artie then asked Peardy, what would u do,he said,I would move a ****en muscle for half an hour."

Going back a few years now,Peardy was asked if he was sleeping well now that he was coach of penrith,he said,'Oh yeah I sleep like a bloody baby.....I wake up every 2 hours screaming my lungs out....."
the other long joke was when Artie went to the then club dr and complained of haemmaroids, and the Dr said that Artie must put tea leaves on the affected area for 3 weeks.
So in he goes to the Doctor 3 weeks later and Doc asks him are you feelin better Artie,to which Artie says yes.
Okay he Doc Cunningham says drop your strides and lets have a look.
Anyway Dr Cunningham was having a look around and Artie asks him what does he see.
Doc Cunningham says it looks better and also the you will have good luck money wise coming up,and I can also see overseas travel in the tealeaves.
The whole room was in fits of laughter.
Physically he has been robbed of his mobility, but mind sharp responses have not left him at all.
WITH fREDDIE BEING INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME AND pEARDY BEING THERE,IT WAS A DREAM NITE FOR ME.
