Have the Brian Smith mind games started?

Play everyone against the Broncs then rest Myles and Pearce for the ridiculously short turnaround against the Eels and reload for the Dragons the following Sunday. The Eels in Hayne Train mode will run us ragged and score tries at will.
My thoughts exactly. More chance this week than next.

Plus the dogs are going to derail the train tonight, so it will be a must win for Parra next week.

        The Broncos are certainly beatable.

I agree, even with Pearce and Myles out! I reckon some on here are writing us off all too quickly.

We have enough depth in the forwards to cover Myles. Leave Anasta at lock and shove Koups in at halfback. He's aching to try his hand you can see it.

          Chook.

LMOA, Koups was born to be a 7.You can see it in his cat like reflexes. His understanding of the of which way to direct play open or blind side, not to mention a bullet of a pass, why the fark do we need Pearce for anyway?

With Myles and pearce out we will be in a bit of trouble, but at full strenghth, we would have more chance of getting the points this week, then next week, with the short turn around.
Away to Brisbane is tougher than away to Parra. Granted, backing up from Monday games (esp. interstate) is tough. But to reiterate, our two best players rested up improves our chances against Parra.

It's also worth noting that the last time we backed up five days after an interstate game we ran over Souths in the dying stages. So it's not impossible.

There are plenty of reasons to be concerned about Brisbane. They are in decent form with Lockyer and co. playing well. They ought to improve post-Origin. Their defence is very good, whereas ours looked fragile at the weekend. And even though they have been great wins, on balance, all the Roosters have done is string together three wins against teams outside the eight.

It's easy to get carried away with a rare streak of success, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

But the Roosters have made a good habit of winning difficult games, so let's hope that continues.

pearce definitely has a hamstring problem. Myles will play.

Plus a great kicking game. I think he has had 3 kicks this year for a total of 12 metres. One went 8, one went 6 and one was -2. Plus of course that kick try assist to Lote.

It's great to have such depth in the halves with Koups

Pearce is lucky to keep his spot

Bad news. No need to risk him if he isn't 100%. Carney and Anasta can get the job done.

Is Jaubs available? He can play halfback. I rather a halfback replace Pearce than another reshuffle

Jaubs actually played his best (I think anyway) when he was in the #7.

But I have no idea on his availability

I know which team I would prefer to play at the moment, and it aint Parra. I get what you are saying, but I think you have been listening to the hype coming out of the media.

Gus and co have been talking those dirty QLDers up for weeks. Hell I was almost going to buy him a maroons jumper during origin.

It's easy to say there defence has been excellent when you are playing a Titans outfit who have nothing in attack. They scored a couple of late tries to make it look like a good result.

Parra will put 30 on us. We need to put 36 on them.

If Pearce and Myles are ruled out, I'd like to see this reshuffled side:

                                1. Anthony Minichiello
                                2. Phil Graham
                                3. Kane Linnett
                                4. Shaun Kenny-Dowall
                                5. Sam Perrett
                                13. Braith Anasta (c)
                                6. Todd Carney
                                8. Jason Ryles
                                9. Jake Friend
                                14. Mose Masoe
                                11. Frank-Paul Nuuausala
                                12. Mitch Aubusson
                                19. Tom Symonds

                                15. Jared Wearea-Hargreaves
                                17. Nick Kouparitsis
                                18. Joseph Leilua
                                20. Martin Kennedy

Finally we have some good depth to replace even our most important players. We've definitely come a very long way since last season. Hats off to everybody involved with the club, especially the players and coach Smith. He has done a wonderful job in turning the club around.
