  • Fullback for 2011

I think theres a good chance our fullback for next year could be between Steve Naughton Luke towers or maybe even Jonathon Ford all great talents and i woudnt mind seeing either one of them in the RW&B

Or would you's like to see the Chooks go for more of a well known fullback e.g
Coote Gardner etc or stick with Sam Perret for Fullback next season
    We are the Fonk

You presume Mini is gone ?

If...if Mini continues to improve as he did against the dogs then I'm all for offering him another year or two loaded with injury clauses. Watch the Dogs game again, he was bouncing off defenders like the Mini of old.

We're hopefully starting to see him at full confidence and at full tilt.

      Chook.

Personally, I think Mini has been playing solidly enough to warrant a one year deal in 2011.

But I suspect that the club's plan is to shift Perrett to fullback, hence why they have been in the market for Justin Carney and Blake Ferguson.

Perrett is better at fullback than wing. I would have him there this season as well, he is better than Mini now.

Perret needs a lot of work at fullback. The best part of his game, are his dummy half runs. Which can easily be done from the wing. I don't think Perret has the support play to make a really good fullback

Perrett was really good for us at fullback the last few seasons. He is just much more robust that Mini now. Perrett in the middle in broken play with our halves would be dangerous.

Correct nor the defense. Mini is great in attack but I think he struggles with defense nowadays. I'd prefer Coote to anyone but happy to give Towers a go there.

Which games have you been watching?

Against Souffs he was safe but didn't beat a man.

Against the Dogs he showed glimpses.

Before that he was garbage and hadn't beaten anyone for five years.

I am hoping he just needed some time and the Dogs game was not a fluke.

He has been getting better and better every week, he has clocked $150 metres the last three games, offers plenty as a support player and safe as you say.

I think you have a selective memory JT, I am not saying he is playing like Billy Stater but he offers plenty

Like most players, his game has been improving with the confidence gained from winning.
Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.

You are worried about Perrett's defense. Wait until you see Towers defense..
