I don't see these blokes being any better than what we've got already..

What about some of the kids we already have? Surely there is someone there who could come through in the next year or so.

        Steve Naughton

This guy is as good as any of the others listed, just needs to stay fit and he will be a good un'.

Until he was injured pre-season, he was on the verge of making his debut..

I believe Matt Duffie is now off the market too, as are Daniel Vidot (2012), Kevin Gordon (2011), Antonio Winterstein (2013), Kevin Locke (2011), Junior Tia KIlifi (2011), Kalifa Faifai-Loa (201?), David Mead (2013), Will Tupou (201?) and Akuila Uate (201?).

I would be turning our attention towards one of the following that I have personally seen as seriously talented wingers with all the right attributes to succeed in first grade:

            - Jharal Yow Yeh (Broncos)
            - Dale Copley (Broncos)
            - Patrick Ah Van (Warriors) - can't believe this guy is still only 22
            - Bill Tupou (Warriors)
            - Blake Ferguson (Sharks)
imo even though he is under contract, the cream of the crop is definitely young vidot. can play centre, wing or fullback. is big, strong, fast, great with the high ball very skillful -the package. A few of the other guys have distinct weaknesses but also distinct flaws. He is a pretty complete young player and very versatile. absolute superstar. I also rate dane neilson - good in defence and really elusive and evasive in attack

Nielson is a centre, he is talented though.

To update that, Dale Copley is under contract until 2011, Ah Van is under contract until 2011 too.

Ferguson is a fair bit better than Naughton, and is definitely a nice contrast to the sort of player Perrett is, but his error rate and temperament in an already somewhat butterfingers backline would be an issue.
