The Sydney Roosters Monday night victory over the Brisbane Broncos was watched live by Fox Sports’ largest television audience for a rugby league game this year.
An estimated 323,000 viewers tuned in to see the Tricolours make it four wins from four starts for the first time since rounds 9 to 12 in 2008.
The final round 20 fixture attracted 27 per cent of the network’s audience for the eight games televised over four matchdays, including the five games offered live to their viewers.
The same audience will no doubt be marking down the Tricolours next Monday night match, which is scheduled for round 24.
That will be against another Queensland opponent, the Gold Coast Titans, who knocked off competition front runners St George Illawarra Dragons on the opening night of the round last Friday night.
