  • Pearce no certainty to line up on saturday

there has been a few rumours floating around this afternoon that Pearce is in serious doubt to return on saturday, not sure if its just Smith mind games or not but the same rumours were spot on last week.

on a side note it was fairly concerning that more than half the first grade squad were unable to participate in the full training this week.

we have been very good for the last 6 weeks I just hope we don't fall in a heap on saturday after a string of emotional victories.

Short turnaround, JWH and Masoe out, Pearce possibly out or not fully fit, Myles not fully fit.

It was the potential for the game of season but can't see it happening now. It will just be a remarkable effort if the boys can overcome adversity for the third week in a row.

thats what we want the Eels to think, weather may be the deciding factor in whether he returns or not, a cold/wet night is not great for a dodgy hamstring, also FPN's calf injury is a bit of a concern.

This will be an extremely tough game. Not many sides can win after such a short turnaround, with so many injuries, after so many injury-sapping games in succession, against an in-form side, etc.

            A win would be fantastic.

The late mail in the DT states that Nate and Mitch will play. Not sure how accurate they are:

              http://resources.news.com.au/files/2...l-round-21.pdf

Also lists JWH as indefinite and Masoe indefinite and Jaubs as round 22 return.

I watched the squad train yesterday and all players trained. Symonds had his knee iced up but was still mobile, Franky had his calf iced up, and Jarrod was mobile but he will not play. As for the rest of them, they were all having a run, Pearce and Miles running freely and looked good. They WILL play.

Reminds me of the article that came out in 2002 after the GF that had a list of players and each injury they were carrying.

Harden up boys, we've got a Hayne Train to derail.

They train at Moore Park outside the SCG normally. You can see them as you go past on the bus. Unless they want a closed session. Then its...?

Yeah as Juggler stated, they usually train at Moore Park directly across the road from the SCG. I just happened to be passing and pulled up to have a look. First time and I recommend it. Cherry Mescia called us up to get closer, a friendly bunch.
