Have you ever seen a player win an argument with a referee?

Yes Thurston...at the end of the day the ref's feel they can give any penalty against us without any ramifications. It's like they can get away with it. As for Anasta, I'd wish that he would be able to put pressure on the refs with good arguments.... Nevermind!

but what good is a good argument? Once a call is made, it is too late to change the call.

Will a good argument make any difference to future calls in a game??? Who knows, remember these guys are footy players, not part of the debating team.

Let's not forget the bs penalties that we have been copping as well. At least two against the Broncos, one for a strip that didn't happen (not the try!), and one for the Broncos player intentionally placing the ball on Ryles foot.

Of course the classic sinbinning of Ryles when Badger "thought" he heard him swear at him.

I recall ****er Finch a couple years ago admitting he identified the roosters as intentional repeat offenders and instructed the refs to crack down on us. The ****ers haven't let it go.

Yes friend has been very under-rated in our form lately his work around the ruck has been awesome not only his ability to slow the play the ball, but also the amount of tackles hes been making has been very high ( i think i heard only craig fitzgibbon has made more tackles in a row for 3 or 4 games for the roosters ) but im not sure if anyone has noticed how fast hes line speed has been..
earlier in the season i used to get frustrated because at times our defensive line wasnt moving up but i thibk friend has helped that with hes line speed which imo is pushing all the others up with him.. Very impressed with friend lately..

And im not sure if its because im a roosters fan but to me it seems like every ref is out to try F&*k us over we have had some terrible calls go against us lately. we havent let it worrry us though just keep the mind on the job and has paid off with our results

All I'm saying that there are some players that are able to influence referees in all sports to favour calls to them. In someway it's a kind of passive intimidation. It happens. I would prefer to have a captain that's on the ref's ear all the time to keep them on their toes but hey! That's the crazy kind of guy I am. Anasta may as well not say a nothing when calls go against them because he doesn't say anything which helps the cause. As for the lawyer bit and that, that was in gest.
