  • We are now 2nd favourites on Sportstab

Seems the bookies have finally woken up to the roosters current form and wound us in to $5.50 to win the comp, 2nd only to the dragons who are $4. We were around $13 last week so the bookies have obviously put plenty of store in the Parra result. Parra have been wound out from about $6 to $13 in just a week.

Betting on the roosters these last few weeks has been like having a money tree. Fat, juicy odds every week against inferior teams (e.g. $2.90 v the Broncs, $2.50 v Parra). Looks like the party is over now. We may get about even money against the dragons but if we beat them well (which i think we will) then we will be close to outright favourites and odds on every week. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

I wonder what the market will be if (and with St George to receive a mountain of penalties this week, it is an Everest-sized IF) we beat them?

With that said, any news on who R.Finch will be sending out to get us this week? I guess it might be Badger and Klein with Mander or Clark as video ref.

Tony Archer and Alan Shortall. Video ref is Bill Harrigan.

Bookies just reflect the punters goings.

All the punters are excited about us which is driving our price down.

I still think that come Sunday, saints should float around 1.70 with the smart money flooding in on us at the last minute.

Betfair has the Roosters at $2.00 and the Dragons $1.84. If JWH comes in for Koups you could probably switch those odds around. What am I trying to say?

Load up at $2. Thats fat. They don't have enough points in them at the moment to beat us.

Wish I'd got on us (which I said I was going to and never bloody did) at the start of the season at around $41 from memory.

Our 13+ won me a nice little sum on Saturday though.

I slung 20 bucks (it was payday) on them at the beginning of the season.

I now wish I'd dropped a ton on them.

forget being favourites and being talked up all week. I prefer us to fly under the radar but that's virtually impossible now considering how we are playing
