was it just me or was the footage fox sports showed of freddy very poor. all they showed was when he got smashed by willasanti in the 02 grand final (twice) and a couple of shots of him on the sideline as a coach. no footage of the famous left foot steps or cut out passes or holding the premiership trophy...

Grats for Freddie. I'm happy he is offically back to being a Rooster.

I doubt he ever left the fold though, his excitment when we beat Souffs on the death could have only come from a true blue Rooster.

          Chook.

Oh chook, the two riff functions i attend he unleashed on the Roosters, the second one i walked out from, im guessing alot of water has passed under the bridge in those 2 months, it is good to have him back in the fold though.

what was strange though is he didnt seem to speak to Gus and Nick much last night.

That's not a bad thing I reckon. Fittler needs to walk away from the shadows of these two blokes and make his mark in whatever he does by his own actions and beliefs, not by anyone else's.

Those two blokes have helped shaped the person Fittler is today. Their job is done. It's now up to Fittler to create his future on his terms as his own man.

Freddy and Gus were speaking during the pre-function drinks.

During the function they were miles apart so it's understandable.

Was interesting to see Gus and Sticky chatting and looking like they were enjoying each other's company.

Bec and Buzz would be shattered.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if we saw the future coaching staff of NSW at the function last night.

                  Ricky the coach
                  Gus the hidden man
                  Fittler the Trainer

Freddy, a born footballer, got us to 4 Grand Finals. He is Rooster Number ONE in my book.

Number 1 alright. A coach at his tender age, he is not. The total disrespect shown towards a Roosters Legend on this sight is a disgrace.

A great player and its good he has been honoured.

His stint as a coach how ever poor should not take away from what he brought as a player.
As a coach he ****ed up and was ****ed upon, he was not the only one and will not be the last. What he did as a player should not excempt him from criticism for the farce that was his foray into coaching. But his coaching episode should not and I think in the long term will not prevent us from remembering the great things he did as a player.

Great for the club to give him some recognition. As Chook said, reaffirms him as a Rooster after last year.
