So how you lot feeling about the game. I know we can get them..but its a massive test..so much to think about..i cannot wait..(one game at a time..cheers Melon..
I don't really have any expectations - that's why I'm looking forward to it so much. If the Roosters are competitive, then they could make a dent in the finals. If not, then maybe this season goes in the 'rebuilding' category.
We will find out so much about this side tomorrow. 35,000, sunny Sunday afternoon, Cricket Ground, top of the table clash, it doesn't get any better than that.
As far as I'm concerned, it's just another game. A tough game but just another game. I hope Brian Smith has the team feeling the same way. Stick to your game plan, defend well, and play until the 80th minute.

Go Easts
So nervous, if we win both grades we will be 1st/equal 1st in all 3 grades.
We might not be quite seasoned enough to win a match of this magnitude. But whatever happens, we will take a heap out of the game and will be all the better for it down the track.

My God I hope for Smith's sake that wasn't his game plan.

The Roosters were very bad. Often found wanting in defence (line breaks to Creagh and Weyman were disappointing), and chronic issues handling the ball. This meant the Roosters had to do a mountain of defending and had very little opportunity in attack. This is on top of the referees' inability to get either side back the 10 metres, which played massively into the dour Dragons' hands.
But, despite all of this, St George only stumbled to a 7 point win. All the possession, and the field position, and they only just fell over the line. This says more about them than us.
Every side has bad days. The Roosters had one today. But the Dragons are incapable of scoring points. And on two of the very few occasions the Roosters were able to attack St George's line, they broke it and scored.
If the Roosters (or Penrith, or Wests, or Gold Coast, or Brisbane, etc.) really turn up against the Dragons, they will win. And even if they don't play their best - like the Roosters today - they will still be in with a fighting chance.
If the Roosters meet St George in the finals, they ought to be full of confidence after today.
It's a shame the Roosters lost, and disappointing that they were very poor, but I think there are a lot of positives to be gleaned from today.
