He is spot on. We have stopped showing patience in attack.
Yep I said it during the game. If we were patient we would of won easily. It was obvious they didn't have much footy in them. I think the six again and then the double movement on the zero tackle was the turning point.
There is a part of me that is slightly happier after listening to that interview. He is undoubtedly as pissed off by the performance as me! You can tell he is so close to flipping the shit. The boys are surely going to get it. In the interview I think he insinuated that perhaps the boys took Cronulla a little too easy and perhaps underestimated them. Anyone else get that vibe??
He is very right about the fact that we shot ourselves in the foot by trying to do too much in the first half when we had all those opportunities. We should have been leading by 20 by half time and basically eliminated any thought of them wining.

Im not childish by nature but........SHUT THE **** UP ...... WE GOT SKINNED BY THIS YEARS SPOONERS!!!
Thanks for the link Elo. I feel better listening to Smithy but gee, how a side can turn in a matter of a couple of weeks. We were the gun side for a month and now beaten by the cellar dwellers.
Perhaps i was harsh with my comments...... i apologise !\]
We broke a 6 game losing streak !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Believe me, I'm more than painfully aware. Losing twice to the Sharks and once already to the cowgirls isn't the sort of stuff one forgets easily.
That interview with Smith was the first thing that made me smile after the game, becasue I found it quite pleasing that he was equally angry and equally as disappointed as me. He conveyed every sentiment I felt and it's nice to confirm our head coach is just as passionate and disgusted as we all are.
can't wait to see Brian's press conference, from all reports he went beserk, probably spent at least $10000 in fines, not sure there is much point because as we know nothing will change.
Last week the Roosters were impatient and this week they were impatient AGAIN.
FARKIN IDIOTS.
Brian sounds like he is simmering and the team now have 10 days to think about just how shit they were tonight. FARKIN IDIOTS.
We were impatient when we got close to their try line, but I really didn't feel it was all that different to when we scored bucketloads against Parra or Brisbane - it just came off then and didn't last night.

Spot on - except we got caned for some soft penalties and the team has gone back to its bad habits from last year.
Everybody will probably disagree, but I think that the Sharks and Dragons are too VERY similar teams, and we lost against both of them for the same reason. Sure the Dragons are on top of the table so we can use that as an excuse, but in my opinion they played pretty well the same game as the Sharks.
For both games we got lots of possession, but simply had no completions. As Smith said... to our credit in both games we kept on fighting, and didn't let either game get away from us too badly. This is in stark contrast to last season where pretty well every game we simply gave up when things got too hard.
My positive out of this is that we're still playing much better than last season in that we're not just giving up. We didn't deserve to win this one, but right up until the whistle we were still trying to win the game (same with the Dragons game.)
Guys like Phil Graham will hopefully be able to learn from this one...
