How many times did he call for the ball early just to spin it wide? When you trust your television

It's so frustrating because it's only the little things we are doing wrong. Our best footy is easily better than most sides. I mean look at last night. What the hell did Titans do other than complete their sets? We gifted them 3 of their tries. We also probably bombed 2 or 3.
Funny enough I think our defence has been really good the last 3 weeks, we aren't missing many tackles. It's just stupid mistakes the last 3 weeks that have killed us. We aren't playing that bad but we do need to win this week.

I will even forgive the "clubman" for dropping the ball on the try-line, a stupid play the ball, and a stupid pass. I felt that after being dropped on his shoulder he lost a bit of coordination in that arm.

They need to go back and watch the video of the Broncos game. I dont know how many times I commented during that game to my mate how well the forwards were rumbling up the field getting over the advantage line.
Quite simply there is no point in spinning it wide without having done the hard yards up the middle first.

Completion wins matches.
We can ramble on about effective hit-ups and bending the advantage line, but at the end of the day, that comes with posession and not conceding repeat sets.
Can't expect a team to do much after they defend 6 or sets in a row back to back.Last edited by BigMike; 08-26-2010, 12:13 PM.

Agree 100% BigMike.
We can blame the forwards, individuals having a bad game, bad decisions but they all go hand in hand with completions.
Our completions have dropped off the last three of weeks which means the opposition has better field position and puts pressure on our forwards by using more energy making more tackles and our attack because we panic and try to score off every set.
Here are the stats for our last 10 weeks. If our completions were up near 80% the last 3 weeks I have no doubt that we just about win each game.
Easts 79% vs Storm 70%
Easts 76% vs Warriors 77%
Easts 71% vs Raiders 73%
Easts 76% vs Souths 83%
Easts 77% vs Dogs 84%
Easts 80% vs Broncos 66%
Easts 77% vs Eels 69%
Easts 56% vs Dragons 74%
Easts 68% vs Sharks 79%
Easts 69% vs Titans 84%

Hopefully the Halves get back to basics and start mounting pressure with a good kicking game and then hopefully the opposition will make the silly mistakes we are making.......and going by those stats we are on the increase.
