  • Sign eastwood

I'm not 4 big name signings- but eastwood was great 4 the dogs last year and he is one one of the main reason they did so well in 2009 - he would be the only big name i would chase 4 2011. He is a great tackle buster ball player and now the dogs have signed a few big names of late e.g pritchard you wouldn't think they would have much left under the cap-besides his name starts with east should fit right at home hehe

We've already got enough backrowers to be honest, although I agree he is an awesome player but I can't see any Australian clubs paying the transfer fee for him.

I wouldn't mind us signing an established prop but apart from that I think we're set for next season.

i think he's played a lot of prop and since we r prob going to lose lopini end of 2010 and ryles will prob finish end of 2011 - most back rowers as big as him can play prop and are more mobile these days i think he would be a great buy. either way im happy with our young forwards -i think eastwood is only 23 ??

I'd sooner move Myles and FPN back to the front row before Eastwood (hypothetically). The only selling point for me is that he's desperate to come back 'home' so if we could pick him up for a reasonable salary then I don't see why not unless the club saw the transfer fee as unreasonable.

We have learnt our lessons with signing Bulldogs players he is just another pie eater.

If the club is chasing one or two players for next year then I hope they target a couple more backs. Ford played ok yesterday but he should not be our backup fullback which exposed our lack of depth with two players out injured (ie. Mini and Linnett). Carney is a good addition but he has been in and out all year so he has a fitness cloud over him. We need to focus on a couple more backs as our forward depth is quite good with Cherrington to come back and Tasi coming. Eastwood is a waste of money imo and I very much doubt he is on our radar.

                  Yeeeeeah Buddy!

We are vey skinny in outside backs.

                  Almost no depth.

I have always rated Eastwood since he debuted agianst us and scored under the posts to win the game for the Broncos..

The difference between the Bulldogs last year to this year has been Greg Eastwood..

Whilst I agree that Eastwood is a good player, the Roosters are well served in forward depth and as Buddy stated, it is outside backs, specialist wingers in particular, that the Roosters need.
