  • Two scores to settle.

VETERAN St George Illawarra hooker Luke Priddis hopes to bow out of rugby league with a third premiership after announcing his retirement at the end of the season.

Priddis, who made his debut in 1997 at Canberra, has won premierships with Brisbane in 2000 and Penrith in 2003 and hopes to enjoy a further grand final glory with the NRL minor premiers before retiring.

We owe Prickis for 2000 and 2003! I'd love to meet St Chokers in the finals and end this little mans "dream of a third premiership".

He was the difference in 2003 between us and a repeat.

    Chook.

It seems he is well past it now but a lot of people seem to have never rated Priddis. I always thought he was a handy player. I thought we never looked like winning the GF in 2000 but 2003 still hurts.

Hegs should have scored in the first 5 mins of the 2000 GF but was too upright when he got close to the line allowing the defence to hold him up. Had he scored who knows how that GF would have turned out. Even down to Fitzy's conversion attempt hitting the cross bar, we were finishing strongly and if we could have got within a converted try that last 6 minutes would have been very interesting. But Brisbane deserved to win, they were far and away the best team that season.

2003 hurts because with a couple of different options by players we could so easily have won it. On the night Penrith were just a bit more desperate which is sad considering it was a GF. I will say that 2003 paled into insignificance compared to the loss in 2004. That one really hurt.

If it east for Phillips that day both tuquiri and sailor would have scored hat tricks and we would have lost by about 30.

I remember 2000 as being the "holy shit, the Roosters finally made it." Fittler was playing busted with blisters on his feet, if I remember.

2003 was lost because of 2 words: Brett Finch.

If Wingy had been in the half position like the year before we would have gone back to back.

I don't want to beat any team Priddis is in because it's about revenge. Revenge is nonsense.

Why I want the Roosters to win is pride. Pride in the jersey, pride in the history of the club.

2003= ian schubert telling easts that the book value for brett mullins was 200,000 per year, and if you try and contract him on 50,000 per yr,that easts wanted, schubert was to strip us of all our points for that year.

We should of just copped the offside penalty on Priddis' dummy half run in 2003. Eeeeeeverything would of been different.
