True. He is a bit injury prone. But of all those we have in the lower grades, I think he is probably the most potential and he has all of next year to prove himself.

Dugan must be the biggest bogan in the game. His awful tats and that horrible looking rat's tail. Lucky for him he can back it up with some good skills.

I've submitted a comment to try and redress the garbage being sprouted.

Man i hate this comment - Whatever money the Panthers have in the bag after Pritchard signed with the Dogs should be offered to secure this super star. Oh and if the Roosters are sniffing around the NRL should be checking the salary cap with that club.

It's fine for the dogs to sign so many players in 2 years, but for us it's a big deal and we should be checked becasue we have signed Watts, J.Carney for the 2011 season?

Some more stupid comments made -

Bugger off Roosters. Grow your own. We are all tired of you and your ways.

Roosters chase EVERYONE..sometimes even harder than Canterbury...

How unlike to the chooks to steal other juniors! Fittler comes to mind! Get lost Coote is a Panther!

Why cant the roosters stop stealing jr's and start developing their own.....oh wait they don't have a jr league of their own.....why are they in the comp again if they don't have one?

Hmm so we always steal/pinch players but other clubs *sign* players and it's all good.

that right there is a rubbish comment.. i'd class Dugan as having "world class defence", his positional play at the back is brilliant

You must have missed Dugan getting exposed by Carney/Pearce on both occasions we played the Faiders this year?

Dugan's defensive positioning is better than Hayne's, but that isn't saying much.

Coote exceeds both in terms of all round footballing ability. He'd be a fantastic acquisition, but he won't come to the club. The article just tacks on the Roosters at the end to create a bit of a stir/attract attention.

                    - if Coote doesn't come, re-sign Minichiello for one more year OR throw Ben Jones into fullback in 2012, and pursue Dugan at the end of that year

Both Coote and Dugan are very very good players, albeit very different.

Dugan is all individual brilliance - he breaks tackles, had a massive workrate, and tends to do it all himself, much like Hayne or Boyd. This playing style tends to produce a lot more errors, however, when they overplay their hand.

Coote is the more classic style of fullback, much like Minichiello or Stewart in their heydays. Lightning speed, support play, the ability to 'bounce' off players rather than shrugging them off. Limited playmaking, but still very good.
I hope Ben Jones NEVER EVER plays at the roosters EVER. Especially not at fullback. his a pure dud, I have watched him many times this year he aint nothing special.

he won't, certainly not at fullback anyway

Mack's just obsessed with NYC and NSW Cup players

Coote would look great in the RWB.

hahaha fair call mate. Those boys all did come from a lower division.

But I just still wouldnt have Ben Jones in the team.

It's like his already had his opportunity and chance in the FG team and has shown much + not a very good defender.
