I stand corrected. Embarrassing for a supposed fan of the Bronx Bombers.

If we were doing it, the boys would be heroes.

I think it's sweet but I hope the kid made two wishes.

As other people mentioned thats that the whole story.
The Tigers have done alot for the kid and his family.
        I think its good.

They can use whatever motivation they like, and good luck to them!
We'll use a trophy as our motivation!

            No niggie.

Christians have been doing it for a coupla a centuries with the terminal JC.

My only gripe is with the associated heroism of the sick. I don't see anything brave in "fighgting" whatever is thrown at you. You have no choice. Euthanasia is illegal and i know of no animal that has thrown itself under a bus cos it was terminal.

The Parra kid was awesome. Johnathon Thurston gave him his headgear after the cowboys and eels game and the kid accepted it and through it away.

It turn's out he has a pretty full on thing for germs so JT's post game headgear wasn't the best gift. Still, the footage looked great.

The Roosters are donating $1,000 for every point they beat their opponents by. Some of the charities include Children's Cancer Council, Camp Quality & The Royal Children's Hospital.

So in a way, the Roosters have a similar motivation.

What's the difference? These kids are making a difference in a sick kids life. They are giving him a memory. Something that this kid will cherish forever.

The little boy is terminally ill and they are using that to help motivate them to win a bloody footy comp ?

                    Opinions ?
They're not using him as motivation for themselves, they're motivated to win the comp for him. I think its a great thing they're doing.

Well, not forever, R.B. Here's the link to his disease.

                            Necrotizing enterocolitis

Far warning, it's a bit gruesome.

I saw a Kudo (large antelope type thing) in africa which was suffering from foot and mouth disease and in a lot of misery walk into a river and killed itself...it was bizzare..we were on a small boat on the chobe river in Botswana and this thing walked into deep crocodile infested waters and never came out...

Apparantely it happens all the time and is purposeful... the crocs stayed away from it also....spewing...wanted to see a live kill.

For a child to go through something like that is, unthinkable. It's sad and unfortunate.
