I was sitting watch that pathetic display by the tigers last before the game,milking the sympathy thing for this kid,for all that it was worth.
Their is a time and place for this kind of thing,and its not at a semi final.

I hope whatever passes for a moral core of that club has them looking after them even after they lose next week.

Perhaps I'm a little cynical at times but sometimes when I see a story like this, I just remember Mike Moore from Frontline getting a sick boy to do a story about, much like Ray Martin did with Quentin, in order to get ratings. I think what made this story a little strange is that I have seen Benji in person and he doesn't appear to me to be a giving kinda of guy-I could be wrong- Even Paul Kent today called Marshall egotistical and that's the image he puts out there, IMO.

I know the kid, we also know the family, he loves the Tigers, he loved what they were doing for him, but now especially in his state it is getting very tiring.

The tigers cheerleader won cheerleader of the year and gave him the 2k prizemoney, that is where all this started, maybe the tigpies have jumped on for the ride.

As with BG, IMO these things should be kept behind closed doors and become once in a lifetime memories, not a media circus.

Having been been a carer for 12 yrs, it never ceases to
amaze me just how patronizing people can be, some
just want to ride the look at me talking to the disabled

The little fellow should be let enjoy his team & not put
on show for others benefit.

I made a similar comment in '02 about the Broncos poor form in publicising Alfie's father's illness to try and motivate the team and was also crucified. I think some people are just filled with hatred they always look for the worst possible interpretation.
