If the side has no injuries from the game. Does Conn stay in? If dropped do you prefer BJ or Mose to come in??

I think we need Mose and Bj against Penrith, Jaubs and Graham out for mine.

My take on what we should do:
The problem with our performance imo was the start. they managed to get on top in the wrestle from the get go which allowed them all the ball and opportunities early on. For this reason i think that FPN needs to move back to the bench and come on to give nate a rest at lock (his best position). We need a bigger prop to start. Either JWH or Kennedy should start in place of FPN for some added size and go forward so that we can start a bit stronger.

We definitely missed Mose imo. his inspired carries and aggression is what we could have done with at certain times during that game. He should replace conn - not because conn played badly just because everyone else deserves their spot more. Whether you go with jaubs or leilua is a tough call but id tend to lean towards jaubs. we have braith and maubs in the backrow who can easily go the 80 and cover all aspects of the outside backs meaning that BJ is not required imo because of his versatility and is unlikely to replace braith or maubs in the backrow therefore moving FPN onto the bench instead who can act as cover for the backrow and keeping jaubs who can cover hooker which is probs the only spot that isnt covered by other players if injury strikes. I would field:
      1. Miniciello
      2. Graham
      3. Linnett
      4. SKD
      5. Perrett
      6. Carney
      7. Pearce
      8. Ryles
      9. Jaubs
      10. JWH
      11. Anasta
      12. Maubs
      13. Myles

      14. Kennedy
      15. FPN
      16. Masoe
      17. Friend

Friend made a good impact off the bench imo so starting jaubs and bringing him from the bench is our best bet. have FPN and Myles rotating at lock for the most part with Kennedy and Mose as reserve props.

For next season i would have Kennedy move into the starting side to partner JWH up front with ryles onto the bench for some stability but its too early for that so that can wait till next year

I still feel BJ could do a better job than Graham on the wing.....he won't be dropped but he should be IMO. Graham's sideways returning of kicks was killing us in that first half, Tigpies deliberately kicked away from Perrett as they know he will run only one way.

Conn only playing 25 minutes was weird, better off with Masoe.

        The rest is spot on.

I'd love to see BJ come in for Graham but it's not going to happen.

I am a big fan of Conn, good performance yesterday, but Masoe is easily in the best 17. He'd come in at his expense.

I dont know if dropping Daniel Conn is the answer but we do lack size in the forwards and Masoe gives our side that impact to get us forward. The team struggled up the middle in the first 30 minutes.

I do like Jake Friend coming off the bench to give us that spark in different times of the game.I really hope Brian Smith goes in this direction for the Penrith game.

Conn is great against mobile packs.

Mose should play against big packs like Penriff.

I've always thought that we start with JWH and Mose and tell them to come out 100 miles an hour and bash the opposition forwards, then bring on Ryles and Kennedy/Conn and concentrate on eating metres.

I have 100% faith in what Brian does though. I still cannot believe we went this far.

Mose for Jaubs, Friend needs to play 80min.
BJ for Graham, Phil offers nothing.

                Chook.

                  Agree BJ for Graham.
Definately Mose. But not sure about dropping Jaubs, sure Friend could play the 80 (or100 ), but we need insurance coverage in case of injury to Jake

I'd keep Jaubs because he can do the hard stuff at start of the game. Graham needs to go, BJ can do what he does on the wing twice as good!!

Normally I'd agree, but this is sudden death finals football, we don't have the luxury for insurance coverage, roll the dice, let's go!

If BJ played on the wing the Panthers would pepper him all night.

Yeah I dunno. That dummy spot is so integral, I'd hate to have Jake go down and then have Braith or Maubs trying to fill the void. Surely we wouldn't disrupt the halves by having TC or Jnr slotting in to play dummy half, so I just think its to big a gamble to risk not having a specialist dummy half on standby.

i actually thought FPN looked as though he struggled a bit or maybe it was just that he was targetted, but i wonder how his fitness is

My thoughts mostly. Why waste a spot just in case when we are struggling with tired forwards.

The only thing I disagree with is rolling the Dice. Nobody rolls the Dice. Dice does the rolling.
