  • Ryles stands up

Probably a bit because I was critical of Jason Ryles' signing and have been happily proven wrong.
No more than last Saturday night, Mr Ryles you were outstanding.
In the 60 mins you were on the field you worked like a machine.

    159 metres from 16 runs.
2 missed tackles and 31 tackles made.

That is great stuff, thank you very much

BTW and that doesn't count the 7 metres from a kick

I always rated Ryles as a good prop forward...he convinced me even more with his efforts when others were falling away...he was still there going hell for leather...

i never rated him an laughed at Saints fans when he was playing for them. I also laughed at Parra fans when they had Smith but...how things have changed. As for Ryles standing up, I hope he does and plays the ball correctly. If there is someone who will most likely turnover the ball, he'd probably be the odds on favorite. I am happy when he takes on the line.

I was concerned for him early on ... replaced after 13 minutes. We had no go forward. But his second stint was all quality.

He's fed me humble pie all year. Has been outstanding and led our pack from the front. His runs in the second period of extra time Saturday night were all guts and quality.

          Chook.

I forgot that he had a kick on the 5th against the Tigers!

You're a great prop Ryles but please don't do that to me ever again!

He took so long to wind that big left foot up for the bomb, it was funny to see.

Anyone know why he cannot for the life of him play the ball with his right foot ? It's been driving me insane as he does it each time he plays the ball!

I always held high regard for him though even abck when he came into grade. Was always a quality front rower.

He took over the kicking role of Koups. Atleast it was better and more yardage than all 4 of Koups' kicks.

                But Yes, last one please.

Rylesy must have had a flashback to his junior days as a flashy half-back in the Gong. Apparently, one off season he grew so much they had to move him into the forwards.

He only plays teh ball with his right foot when he plays it backwards.

Seriously, humble pie has never tasted so god. Im glad he has proven to me he is a champ. He has matured beautifully.

Ive watched the game a few times, his hit ups were great, but his defence, especially in extra time was ****ing awesome. well done

I am starting to wonder if thats why Smith has their work rate reduced somewhat so they can remain effective in defense through the whole game
