Pretty sure it was in the Sun Herald. Second last page, bottom right hand corner, the last story.

Its a shame this couldnt be left til after the season, but I just dont feel our style of play has suited Graham, he is built to be on the end of backline moves, not hitting the ball up from dummy half, and even though he has been good under the high ball, his light frame isnt built for the hard running required when returning kicks.

I like the guy, but most of our tries this year have been scored without the ball ever getting to the wing, because we have a running half and 5/8 who create opportunities infield he just hasnt gotten the opportunities to suit his best style of play.

I think BJ will go fine if given his chance, and if all the speculation is putting Phil off then it may be better for him to go now.....its a hard call.

          Thanks micase and BUDDY.

The Roosters are leaving themselves very thin in their supply of outside backs.

I suppose we could always ask Ryan Williamson to come back...

If thats the case it was also in the Telegraph. I read it as well on Bec and Buzz's page and straight away thought....

                1. Its on Buzz's page
                2. He hates us
                3. So reading between the lines Buzz thought....'they're telling Graham to look elsewhere, chance for me to try and destabilize the joint by saying that the players are unhappy...I can't have Brian Smith winning a premiership because then I will have to admit I was wrong!'

In summing up, yes Graham might have been told he can look elsewhere, but are the players unhappy? No, thats just bullshit Bec and Buzz crap. Much like the Josh Dugan hates the Furners and has signed with the Roosters story they made up a while back and then had to issue a retraction and apology for.

Graham is a good depth player. But I wouldn't have him in our starting 17

In my opinion, Phil Graham is a must. He reminds me so much of Iceberg in that first season...took him the whole season to settle. Phil's had a couple of unlucky bounces, and yes he may not have the size of modern outside backs, but i reckon he has a good footy brain. Yuo cant have a backline just full of 19 year olds. He could well do a Mullos next year. Great support player and is liked by all the players.

Totally agree melon. Our seniors players have provided that balance for a very young team. After losing the likes of Fitzy and Ogre, this year's senior players like Anasta, Mini, Ryles, Myles, Pez and Graham have done a great job, on and off the field. But I don't think Graham will be with us next year by the rumours going around which is a big shame.

The difference is Monaghan was in his early 20's with us, he was always going to improve. Graham is 30 now, he isn't going to get better.

Also I would never compare Mullins with Graham, Mullins at his best was one of the best winger/fullbacks ever. Graham is a decent 1st grader.

That said, we are very short for depth out wide if we aren't bringing in anyone else I agree with you we should hold on to Graham.

I remember saying at the end of last season we should hold on to Sandor Earl. I wasn't really impressed by his brief appearances in first grade last year, but he really kicked on after that when he returned to the NYC and I knew we should have kept him. It's good to see the kid going so well now.

Fc was asking Phil not 2 nights ago what he was doing, he said he has no idea where all these rumours are coming from.....

That usually means he's already gone......
