Look at the three Ellis "missed" tries:
1) Ellis blatantly punches the ball out of FPNs hands after the tackle is completed, referees looking at the stars go by and call it a scrum. Carney makes a great try saving tackle on Ellis.
2) From previous incident, Carney strips the ball from Ellis and the ball heads towards touch in goal, it is play on with no knock on, the ball bounces towards the deadball line and Ayshford touches the ball BEFORE it touches the deadball line and grounds it on the deadball line. Video ref looking at the stars go by and calls it a line dropout. The ensuing set Ellis is held up by multiple defenders for a great try saving tackle. Tigers get more of an advantage with a couple more repeats set.
3) Ellis eventually plants the ball down but called back by Marshall's stupidity in punching Pearce. Tough titties and Tigers were lucky to have the ball anyway after SKD grabbed the ball and loses control of it.
Then of course there is the intercept try the tigers score, and Minichiello dropping the ball over the line.
The Tigers weren't unlucky, they were in fact very lucky and not good enough to capitalise. Tigers supporters can kiss my ass.
PS: the energy and self-belief shown by the roosters in the last 20 minutes of regular time reminded me of Roosters '02.
