2 years with the 1 year option. Lets not forget how the club screwed around our last captain with his contracts. Like everyone I am enjoying the hype right now and thrilled with braiths performance but to being throwing 3 or 4 year contracts at him is almost an insult to Fitzy. I don't think Braith means as much to the club as the club does to him.

and really, for someone on $350K or more, that's unacceptable

Have you also forgotten the fact that Anasta singlehandedly saved our season, not to mention the leadership skills he brings to this very young squad which to me is priceless.

That 1 point he scored with 5 seconds left on the clock earned him every last dollar of that contract. Shove your Dally Ms up your arse.

a crunch field goal it certainly was

not being part of the team, it's hard to assess any talk about the value of his leadership. What are you basing it on - media reports?

regardless, it's just not feasible to have in the order of 10% of the teams total salary cap taken up by a player who fails to tally a single Dally M vote across 26 rounds

Mate how do you know that Anasta is 10% of the teams total salary cap? What are you basing it on - media reports?

Are you Braith's manager? Are you Steve Noyce? Are you Braith himself?

ah yes, the all to familiar "who knows what Braith is on" argument

total salary cap = $4.1 million

anyone who thinks Braith is on anything less than $350k a season is in denial

                  that's 8.53% of the cap

but even if you are in denial, let's take Braith out of the discussion

let's imagine it's another player, at another club even

is it ok to have a player who gets paid 8.5% of the teams cap not poll a single Dally m vote across 26 rounds?

Not really when you're competing with the likes of Carney, Pearce, Myles and SKD for votes. Just to name a few.

Braith hasn't stood out, but he's done the job Smith expects of him, and has complimented the team. And that's what important - not Dally M votes.

And what you fail to mention is that he was voted Dally M Captain of the Year, which is quite an honour.

                      yes really

competing for points? that's the same at every club

                      these are excuses

$350K - not one vote - not good enough

Just so that you can be correct ONCE MORE.....Dally M points dont count. If Anasta does nothing all year but win us the big games in the finals, then he has earnt his 300 or 400K. he is a very big part of why we are still in it in 2010. Nobody really cares about 1 or 2 Dally M points given by mostly clueless has beens.

Anything the Daily Telegraph runs cant be taken seriously.

He scored 1 point last week. The only point that ever counted out of all teh Dally M points given this year.

                        Dally M points mean jack.

If Braith played for the Sharks in 2010, he'd have shared the points with Gallen & Gardiner every week - not much competition there.

If Braith played for the Cowboys in 2010, he'd have plenty of points as well. Again, not much competition there, espec when Thurston's not playing.

But I'm sure you'll tell me I'm wrong (again).

I'm not going to tell you that you're wrong

I understand you like Braith, and you support him

but all you're doing is making exuses for him

like the parents of a badly behaved child who refuse to believe the child would do anything wrong

if it was a player at another club on $350K and not getting a single vote in 26 games you'd accept that that isn't good enough

but because it's Braith and the Roosters, you can't do that

Braith Anasta is a special player a great leader good talker i dont think any one else in the team we have can be a better captain than him and are next captain after anasta would learn so much from him.

Is he worth 350 k plus i dont think so would we be the team that we are this year without him ? i still dont think so.Hes got my vote to finish his career with the chookies

Your making us proud anasta keep it up champion
