the judges who voted Carney player of the year, Anasta captain of the year, and Smith coach of the year
that was all good
but hang on
what's that?
Anasta didn't poll a vote in 26 rounds?
those judges are all idiots!!!
but what we need to know now is - who really should have been captain of the year?
and who should have been coach of the year?
who really should have got those awards, if we had different judges - you know - judges who aren't idiots
farking idiot judges, they really annoy me...
when they make a decision I agree with, I say "we didn't need a farking judge to tell us that"
but when they make a decision I don't agree with, they're farking idiots
stupid farking idiot judges
Listen moron.
Carneys form speaks for itself....he was head and shoulders better than anyone available. no Dally m judge was needed to tell me that.
Smith took last years wooden spooners in his first year to a semi, and possibly to a GF. Unheard of for 70 years. No Dally M judge was needed to confirm that recongition.
Anasta has dragged this team, from the bowels of disgrace and has never once dropped his head and has shown leadership qualities far beyond any other captain, including that over rated Paul Gallen. Again, he didnt need to score any Dally M points to earn that right. his actions spelt it out, and no dumbarse Telegraph journo is going to validate that buy giving a meaningless vote of confidence.
These awards were evident and blatantly obvious.
The only point Anasta has scored WHICH ACTUALLY COUNTS, had nothing to do with some feel good Kumbayah awards night. It was the high pressure snap that took Easts possibly to their next title.
Write that one up in tomorrows rag copy boy. There's your feelgood story.Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

Lets not forget that this prick is not even a journalist. He is a lowly ****ing copyboy that probably makes less than $500 a week and lives in a shared accommodation in Chippendale with a cat and a blowup doll that he calls his girlfriend. What real journalist would bother trolling on these forums when he should be out looking for a story. Oh thats right, the ****ing copyboy. Go and get me a coffee copyboy. Pronto!

Yes he kicked the field goal but that is partly the reason we won that match. If the ball had gone to Ryles and he kicked it would that mean Anasta had no part in the win?
In an interview JJ did say that is was his captaincy that kept the guys believing that they could come back from a 13 point deficit with 20 to go. In extra time it was Anasta who kept the belief in our younger guys. We have come from behind in many games this year and anyone who suggests that Anasta had little to do with those results knows little about what a leader in any sport can do for the team. We have one of the youngest teams in the comp. No experience. They seek leadership to get them through the tough games. Anasta has done that with flying colours all year.

Actually, TOK has left the forums for the day. He is waiting in the men's room of the Evening Star to perform his felching and/or snowballing duties for Rothfield. Actually, the copyboy is so deperate for a gig he will do it for anyone. Good luck TOK and where is my coffee copyboy?

BRAITH Anasta has broken his silence on claims he wants out of the club because he is playing in the forwards by declaring he wants to be a "Rooster for life".
The news is a double blow for the North Queensland Cowboys, who could be looking for a new captain after Johnathan Thurston was arrested for drunken and disorderly behaviour yesterday.
Anasta has been heavily linked to North Queensland this week and the speculation only intensified with calls from Thurston to "throw the chequebook" at the NRL Captain of the Year.
Anasta spoke to The Daily Telegraph last night in an attempt to quash the speculation ahead of tomorrow night's semi-final against Penrith.
"I want to finish my career at the Roosters," he insisted.
"I'm captain of the club and I love the joint. My family's in Sydney and I consider the Roosters my family, too. I want to stay here. Ideally it would be good to get an extension here. That will take care of itself in the next 12 months."
Anasta, 28, comes off contract at the end of next season, but his manager is yet to speak to club officials about any extension.
"I'm extremely happy where I am," he said. "I'm really enjoying my place in the team. I'm fully focused on trying to win a premiership. I'm playing in a different position than I'm used to, but I'm still really happy and enjoying my footy and don't want to be anywhere else."
Hope this put it to rest..
The boys are in a very good space at the moment.....
