Anasta really seems to stir the emotions of everyone. All supporters have an opinion, good and bad.

Would I pay him the 350 oddk a year to play in our back row? Probably not.

Would I pay him 250k to play in the back row? Probably

Has Anasta had a good year? Probably not.

Do we owe our run in the finals to Anasta thus far? Probably.

Just like the fickle supporters that follow our great club, Anasta saved our season., so we all jump on the bandwagon. I love what was coming out of most peoples mouths on the same subject 20 odd weeks ago.

      Correct weight.

Now all aboard the Anasta express. Tie him up on whatever he wants for 5 more years.

There's nothing disloyal about giving someone a wrap after they play a good game and criticising them when they play a bad game. You can still support the bloke, but fairly assess his performance.

It's common sense for people's opinions to change when the facts change, too.

I suspect even Anasta's biggest supporters would agree that his form has been very fickle this season; you would therefore expect our assessment of it to be equally as inconsistent.

Well said ... but there is a big difference between fair criticism and the pure hatred that comes from some people. To be honest I am often shocked by the amount of hatred generated by Jamie Soward. To me he is a nice kid and pretty good player. Yet if you read some of the comments directed at him at the DT it is enough to make you sick. I really hope he does not read them. I am a big FONK supporter but I only hate his playing abilities, nothing about the bloke himself.

Mad Bastard, my dislike of Jamie Soward stems from the jersey he wears, not the content of his character.

Mad Bastard?? I also hate the Merge scum. Don't get me wrong but as I seem to remember he did not have many options open to him with us.

Exactly what my post insinuates. However the Anasta love fest is going way over the top. I disagree with most that TOY says, but find his comments on Anasta to be fair this time around. At present our supporter base seems to think the bloke should be here for the long haul. I agree, but not for the amount he is currently being paid.

Lets drop his salary and see how much he really loves our great club.

See Hong Kong Rooster, you don't need to call everyone that disagrees with you a ****wit, and cuddle up with those that share your thinking.

A term of nothing but affection (which one of you bastards called this bastard a bastard)

My answer to all the shitty things that happened to the Roosters and their players before 2009 is the same as usual.

                    Ricky Stuart.

He showed Soward the door when he balked at playing fullback.

But then, that said, it's Ricky Stuart's complete incompetence as a football coach (he won because of Graham Murray's building of the team and Brad Fittler getting headbutted) is what led us to Brian Smith and Todd Carney so I can't despise him too much.

Cheers Madduke. I agree with what you say about Ricky Stuart. I also hate the bloke and this he is/was a dreadful coach. I was very happy to see him leave the Roosters and almost as happy to see him fail at the Sharks. He was a very good player but not one that I ever particularly liked.

To Adzta - I don't think everyone who disagrees with me is a ****wit. Actually, I am a relative newcomerr to this forum and I really love it for two reasons. Firstly, you can say a lot of things without getting banned. Secondly, most people here share a common love of the Roosters which is great. Living overseas I am very isolated from the Roosters and this forum gives me a chance to discuss the team, including our successes, failures and problems. Almost everyone on this forum is cool. I thought there were only three ****wits - Sodomite, Rhyseboy and TOK. All of whom are very questionable in their online personas. Unfortunately I have discovered Roosdaman to be the fourth. But whatever, I'm sure they think I am a ****wit as well. Thats life. All I can really say is ... Go Roosters!!
