Now that Maubs is doing the job Freddy then Fitzy did, that of second line defensive cleanup, he needs to be able to move about.

I trust in Brian Smith to focus BJ and Kane if they are the left wing and center.

Kane is a great defender and BJ can hold his own on the wing. Mose in to start front row and FPN to the bench!!

        I don't disagree.

Question to those who are happy ith BJ / Linnet.

Who comes onto the bench? A few share the thought that bring Masoe on will make the bench too big?

Agree 100%. I think a lot of you guys are underestimating Linnet, he has football smarts, him and BJ will be fine.

i definitely think having fpn jwh conn mk on the bench is the way to go with mosoe starting as it will help keep the work rate up against their pack... if there are injuries maubs perret mini and anasta can slot in just about anywhere.... as it has been mentioned above kane and bj are footballers with the athleticism to match they will be great.... plus bj now gives us an extra option under the high ball...

Teenage rookie Joseph Leilua will be thrust into a starting position for the Sydney Roosters in their preliminary final against Gold Coast on Friday night, with winger Phil Graham little chance of recovering in time from a pectoral tear. Roosters coach Brian Smith is to name his team today for the clash at Suncorp Stadium, and it is likely to include Graham. However, the 18-year-old Leilua - the youngest player remaining in the semi-finals series - will be called upon to begin on the wing in Graham's likely absence in Brisbane. Naming an extended squad, Smith is also expected to add utility Ben Jones and front-rower Lopini Paea to the side that overcame Penrith in last Saturday night's elimination final at Sydney Football Stadium.

I expect the same team as last week with Leilua in for Graham...

Jones wouldn't be a bad addition to the side. He's been playing fullback & centre for the Toyota Cup side, is a natural half and played pretty well from dummy half in the Allstars game earlier this year. With two 80 minute forwards (Braith & Maubs) we don't really need more than a bench of 3 forwards.

On FOX Sports News this afternoon you could see Graham at the airport with no sling and picking up bags with both arms.

I may be in the minority, but I do hope that Graham is right to play. I still want BJ on the bench though....

I agree. If we can field the same team as last week that is surely our best option at the moment. Does Smithy have a masterplan? Could be a lot smokescreens. Fire up Roosters, tomorrow is going to be awesome!!

Im starting to think the same way as Chris, even though Ford was quite obviously over awed in his debut, hes got talent and I think he is the best option to have on the wing, keep BJ on the bench, I would have preferred Symonds coming onto the bench originally but he seems to be on the outer and neither he or Mose looked very impressive for Newtown on the weekend.

I thought i saw Jaubs at the airport on FSN as well, personally i would like him to take that final bench spot over Jones and Paea.
