Don't mind the detractors RB. I liked your ratings.

I was a bit shocked FPN only had 2 runs for 8 metres. I watched the game again and kept a close eye on him. Only 2 runs was not through lack of effort. He was always backing up and heavily used as a decoy. I'd say it was part of the game plan. FPN still did his fair share of workload with 22 tackles in 38 minutes and lots of running despite not receiving the ball. ie. it was not a lazy effort worthy of a 2 rating.

Yea mate I hear you. More effective in the back-row do you think?

FPN is a back rower for sure.

Now that BJ is likely to replace injured Graham, I will like to see FPN back to being a backrower, and take a punt on four forwards on the bench. I will be disappointed if we waste a spot on the bench for Jaubs "just in case" some happens to Friend.

Just on that point, I noticed other players shared the dummy half role (passing rather than just dummy half runs) and some of them like Mini actually went quite well. I am hoping that Smithy can see the light and use the 4th bench spot wisely.

FPN may have had some quiet games recently but he saved our bacon with that scrum steal so I will cut him slack for another week. He is better than that so team consistency can only be achieved if we keep the team together as much as possible. Lets not discard him yet and put someone that 'might' be better.

Good post dice and interesting point you make about the "off the ball" work that FPN got through which is just as important.

Sounds like something similar to what Lleyton Hewitt had a few years back.
