Great footage, and some great tries.

Fairfax and Coote running riot out wide.

    Harris turning defenses inside out

    Beetson steam rolling the opposition.

The passing and support play is phenomenal....it's not hard to see why they won 19 in a row.....those jerseys are awesome too, bring em back!

**** they were great days, great memories, I was 23 in 75 and living in Wagga Wagga, came down to Sydney for the GF, went with my dad and uncle, they were both Roosters fans since back in the 50s, and we had been through some tough times in the 60s, with the Roosters struggling, but you forget all the bad times when your team has a season like that.

For all the great attack they had, Easts turnaround from cellar dwellers in the mid 60s to penthouse owners in the 70s was based on defence, when Jack Gibson came to coach us in 1967 he took us from wooden spooners who didnt win a game in 1966 to the top 4 in 1967, based mainly on improving our defence, and even when we got great attacking players like Harris, Fairfak, Schubert, Mullins, Mayes, etc, we still had the best defence in 1975, conceding only 9 points per game.

And i have to say I loved the music........Roosda Roosda man.

I'd forgotten just how good a support player Monkey Mayes was till I saw that.
Great footage, shame there wasn't a commentary on some of those tries.

              Great memories !

I almost forgot what a freak Jonny Mayes was.Probably the best Roosters half back ever.He had all the options like a Datsun 180B.

                  Good post, Roosdaman.

I was 10 and idolised Arty, Fairy, The Shoe, "Run for your Life", Johhny Brass and Mark Harris.
                  Gee, those were good days.

Thanks for pointing out this site.
