  • It has to be said

I reckon a few of you feel the same way as me, but i have to announce, Ive never looked forward to a big game more than tonight.

What is it? I witnessed some monster games in the past decade but this...........

This feels unusual. The build up of this finals week has been akin to a GF. The massive raps on the other 3 teams and the constant digging at Easts - without a flinch. Credit to our boys and to the staff...we are cruising in with a solid and stable attitude. A calmness that oozes self belief and a realisation that we hold our destiny in our hands.

The boys just seem to be taking the occasion extremely maturely, seriously and calmly. And its breeding confidence and belief.

They believe they can gain a GF birth.

And WE Believe they can too.

    Believe!!!

    It can be done.

    It WILL be done!!

Do it for yourselves Easts. To erase the disgust and shame of past failures and atrocities.

At the start of the year the boys owed it to themselves. And in my eyes they have earned it.

    Respect.

    Redemption.

    Belief.

    Onwards Roosters!!!

    To victory!!!

    Go Easts.

I am nervous as all hell, but still feel a confidence that has been missing before some games....

The boys have prepared themselves for a battle of epic proportions, and the feeling I get is that they will come out the other side victorious....

          Easts......louder

          Easts....louder

            QUOTE]

I wasnt real nervous, not even in 2002 because I thought we would do the Wanderers. Today the nervesare building.

I got home and fiqured I take my motorbike for a quick spin as iy usually clears the head. Bugger a letter from the RTA saying my licence is suspened because I didnt pay a fine.

Hopefully the mighty Roosters will beat the Tits and get me through this crappy weekend.

I'm incredibly nervous. I don't want to hear the 'oh, the Roosters have done well to get this far, but obviously they can't match it with the big boys' bullshit that's going to be trotted out if we don't win. We still need to prove something to the naysayers and I'll be damned if I accept a 'dignified' loss.

                    Crush 'em boys!
