  • Graham a possible starter?

Smithy this morning suggested Graham's pec tear was only minor and that he is a possible starter next week. Mind games?

    I hope he plays.

BJ on the wing could be a problem - but with him on the bench there is no bench in the game better.

I hate to admit it but I agree. Bj, although undoubtedly a superstar in the making, may well be a weakness on the wing. He seems a little bit slow in my opinion. At this stage Graham is the best option. I hope he comes in with Friend starting and either BJ or Mose on the bench. An extra forward may be very valuable next week. Look out for Marty Kennedy to smash those Merge scum forwards. Geez the kid has been getting better every week.

I have a feeling Graham will be OK. It is the only logic I can see behind Jaubs being told he has played his last game. Graham to the wing and BJ to the bench.

Out of the other bench spot contenders:
        - Koups -> it seems Smith has Jaubs higher in the pecking order now
        - Paea and Symonds -> long stints in Newtown and will probably only cover for injuries
        - Mose -> the only other option I see, but I didn't notice him with the squad in qld?

I asked him at the open day today and he said he will find out shortly. He looked quietly confident. It mustn't have been that bad if he still has hopes of playing. As long as he doesn't come off after 10 minutes.

I assume that today was the first real test on it so a lot of it is probably about how he pulls up tomorrow.

Half a dozen needles before the game should do the trick.

Mate half the players running out on Sunday will have needles before the game.

Phil Graham maybe a safer option in positional play but i'm not sold on him taking the ball up to 3 Dragons Forwards, he gets smashed every time he runs the ball. I'm still confident we can win though. Go Easts.

Yeap, if Phil plays 9 out of 10 clearing kicks will be in behind him as he dawdles to gather the ball and then returns the ball sideways at a canter. His dummy half running is also the worse of the back 5 by quite a clear margin too.....double edged sword though as BJ isn't a winger - ugh, I'm torn.

If they let Phil "sugar tits" Graham play then B.J. goes to the bench. Then that means that Jake Friend will have to play the full 80.

If Graham isn't 100% and rips his arm off then B.J. can go to the centres and Linnett Or SKD goes to the wing.
