  • Grand Final Crowd

Recently just read the Dragon's forums, they seemed pretty spooked about the crowd showing up at the GF..
showed up as 60/40 Roosters taking a pack!!

I thought the crowd last saturday was pretty evenly split.

But I think the GF crowd could be highly in favour of saints. Roosters fans could only manage about 22,000 for a home semi against another Sydney team 1 week after one of the best games of footy all year. I'm hoping for a 80/20 split this week in favour of the Dragons.

In saying that, in the last 3 weeks, I've found I know about 5 more roosters fans than I thought. They just negelected to mention it before, don't think I even heard them mention footy last year.

Hmm I don't know. Roosters section was down to single seats only just a couple of minutes ago, and ours still had plenty left (may have changed in five minutes though). I am shocked by how easy it was to get tickets today....especially with the AFL Rematch on sale too.

The problem is because the Dragons were doing so well and have never looked like missing the GF, the Dragons Army bought their tickets in bulk weeks ago. One guy put $18,000 worth of tickets on his CC, according to one message board.

I'm sure there'll be plenty of Roosters fans but unless the Roosters bays are spilling over with Roosters fans in red, white and blue, the Dragon Army will probably make a lot more noise than us.

Luckily, I believe the boys know we are there. Each game when we've been behind or made a comeback, we've found our voices and they know exactly where we are. Hopefully the Dragons have nothing to cheer about and are quiet the entire 80 minutes!

Sunday's NRL grand final between St George and the Sydney Roosters has been sold out.

The NRL issued a statement saying ticketed NRL club members had snapped up the last remaining tickets after approximately 14,000 were released for sale at on Monday morning.

The NRL said it was the first time that tickets to the grand final had sold out at this stage.
        earliest sell out in history
