Ofcourse I'm heavily biased, but if we win on Sunday it will be the greatest Premiership in the history of first grade rugby league.

There's so many elements that lead me to feel this way - the obvious ones of finishing last in 2009, complete overhaul of the coaching and training staff, numerous off field discretions etc etc etc - but when you add in that we only won 4 penalty counts during the season, (2 out of 3 in the finals have been nice) received the least amount of penalties, been penalised the most, had the rare draw of playing every interstate team away from home in the season and took home matches against the Knights and Warriors to stadia that favoured them. We also fielded the second youngest squad in the competition behind the Broncos.

It's seriously phenomenal, I have every appendage crosed in hope that we finish it off.

    GO EASTS.

What about individually for Todd Carney. Dally M, he's staring down a clive churchill and probably the Kangaroos #6. This has got to be the biggest comeback of all time.

Has there, or will there ever be a more satisfying win or a more satisfying Grand Final win or year as a Rooster or Rooster fan?

Mitchell Pearce - With Todd Carney, will not only become the saviour for New South Wales, but will also become the dominant halves pairing for Australia.

Nate Myles - Turned his season completely around and based on our player poll, is easily rated as our best forward this year.

Sam Perrett - Has his first born baby in 2010.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall - In 15 rounds he went from one of the worst centers in the game, to one of the best centers in the game, being compared only to Israel Folau, Greg Inglis & Jamie Lyon.

I honestly, cannot think of a more satisfying win. Ever.
        Very nice post Chris,but,

Don't go the SOO thing, a lot of us are Queenslanders and it will be the same when Freddy captained the Blues, I found it hard to cheer on th Maroons

Nate Myles was one of the few players from last year that can hold his head high. How many times did you see the poor bastard try and chase down wingers when no one else could be bothered?

This is Sams third child. (love your work Sam)

SKD played winger, badly, and now plays centre, exceptionally well.

But, if you want to compare previous Roosters, the closest I can think of are the 1987 Roosters. They were a team of Rookies and Has-Beens who came within 1 game of the Grand Final. No one gave them a chance till they smashed Manly at Henson Park one afternoon and then proceeded to keep winning till they met Canberra in the preliminary final. That was a particularly brutal match from memory and I can honestly say I was as proud to be a Rooster that year as I was in 1975.

Go the Roosters, all the wy this year!!!

Whether we win it or not this year has been more than satisfactory imho

Others have gone on about the mid season positional changes making a difference and thats all very true but the emergence of Leilua, Linnett, Masoe, Kennedy have been the difference in the second half of the season.

I know mate! I'm actually a Queenslander, but the tide is turning. Lockyer is about to retire and Pearce & Carney have the benefit of playing next to each other every single week at club level.

Times are going to change unfortunately and I do believe Carney & Pearce will have A LOT to do with it.

2002 is hard to top, but this will do it. Easily.

Nothing will ever come close if we win this year.

Agreed. I will never forget the Tigers semi, and if we reach the ultimate goal it will keep me going for the rest of my life.
                    It is surreal.

That Tigers semi was absolutely amazing but we have seen a three of them in the last fifteen years.

For this to top the list we have to win this week.
